Description

The team is looking for an Implementation Manager to join the Finance & Treasury Product team, based in London or Tallinn. The team is growing fast.

The role keeps customer money protected as new products launch and the company enters new markets.

The company safeguards customer funds across 11 legal entities and runs client asset protection (CASS) across 6. That covers more than 500 bank accounts, 5+ external audits a year, regular internal audit and regulator reviews, and several new legal entities each year.

The global Safeguarding team builds and runs the automated controls and tools that every entity uses. Regional teams manage local operations. You will link these two groups, making sure new products and entities join the controls correctly and that incidents are resolved quickly and openly.

You will work with the Safeguarding Product Manager, Safeguarding Engineering and Analytics, Treasury and Regulatory Product Compliance, Finance, Payment and Treasury Operations, and regional controllers across the world.

Responsibilities

  • Run the safeguarding review and approval process for new products and product changes, so each step is completed and nothing goes live without the right controls.
  • Chase product teams, Treasury Regulatory Product Compliance and Finance to keep projects moving.
  • Maintain an accurate, current tracker of projects that need safeguarding support and report on their progress.
  • Work out how each new legal entity will be onboarded into the global systems and controls as it launches.
  • Define the local control setup for each entity, such as safeguarding timings.
  • Work with Regional Finance and Compliance so local controllers are ready to own their entity from day one.
  • Plan and lead the integration of new the company products into safeguarding systems with product managers, engineers, data analysts and operations specialists.
  • Take large, complex integrations from start to finish and write clear documentation covering requirements, project plans, resourcing, testing and delivery.
  • Keep documentation of product flows and safeguarding calculations current.
  • When incidents happen, work hands-on with product and engineering teams to assess their impact, drive them to resolution and strengthen controls to prevent a repeat.

Requirements

  • You have worked in regulated finance, with experience in implementation, controls, regulatory operations or treasury operations at a financial services firm or fintech, and you have worked alongside Compliance to launch products correctly.
  • You understand how customer funds are protected. You know safeguarding, client money/CASS or a similar framework. Knowing one regime well with a willingness to learn others is enough.
  • You are comfortable with reconciliations, ledgers and financial data. You want to understand how money moves through a product and what it depends on, and you can explain what a reconciliation break is and why it matters.
  • You bring clarity. You unite people around a shared goal, weigh different views and give complex problems structure. You write clearly and explain complex ideas simply to engineers, compliance specialists, finance teams and senior stakeholders without losing the detail.
  • You deliver. You manage many workstreams across teams and time zones, keep track of the details, hold others accountable without managing them, and see work through to the end.
  • You stay calm under pressure during incidents, make sound decisions and know when to escalate.
  • Great to have, but not essential: experience supporting external or internal audits or regulator inspections.
  • Great to have, but not essential: experience with control frameworks, obligation-to-control mapping or risk tools.
  • Great to have, but not essential: working knowledge of SQL or data tools such as Looker or Snowflake, to investigate issues yourself.
  • Great to have, but not essential: experience launching a new regulated entity or entering a new market.
  • Great to have, but not essential: familiarity with safeguarding rules in more than one region, such as the UK, EU, APAC or North America.
