Description

The company helps growing businesses operate and expand internationally through one platform for business accounts, hedging and financing. Founded in 2009, it has 2000+ staff across nearly 70 cities and is shifting from a delivery-led setup to a platform-led product company.

This role owns one metric: the share of clients who become active hedgers. Thousands of clients already hedge, but several more with the same currency exposure never get there. Clients cannot see their exposure clearly, CPMs cannot see it at scale, so the hedging conversation happens late or not at all. You will build guided journeys, lifecycle workflows and decision tools for both clients and CPMs, working with product, data, commercial, design, engineering, and compliance and risk. Prior FX or hedging experience is a plus, not a requirement.

Success over 12-18 months means higher spot-to-hedger conversion that you can attribute, a meaningful share of new hedgers coming through product journeys rather than CPM calls, clients who can explain their own FX exposure and return to hedge without being chased, and more hedgers on standing policies instead of ad hoc trades.

Responsibilities

  • Own the full conversion path into hedging, supported by a dedicated squad of developers.
  • Map the route from spot client to active hedger to policy client, and find every point where clients drop off.
  • Build staged journeys that send the right message at the moment a client's exposure feels real to them.
  • Create workflows triggered by events such as a new currency pair, a large invoice, an adverse rate move or a forward maturing.
  • Identify what separates clients who convert from those who do not, and design around that difference.
  • Show clients their exposure in their own numbers and currencies, with exposure views, scenario and impact modelling, and MTM and forward comparisons a finance lead can use without training.
  • Help clients reach a confident answer to whether they should hedge, aiming for a well-made decision rather than a sold one, and balancing honest risk disclosure with simple choices.
  • Give CPMs a portfolio view of client exposure, trades and performance, plus signals such as unhedged exposure, shifting trade patterns and policy lapses, so they know whom to contact and what to raise.
  • Turn what works in conversations that already convert clients into product features.
  • Drive repeat hedging by moving clients from a first hedge to a second and third, and from ad hoc trades onto a standing monthly policy.
  • Build statements, notifications and review moments that show value after each hedge.
  • Run a steady cadence of A/B tests across the journey rather than working from a feature backlog.
  • Read results honestly, including those that disprove your own ideas, and measure both conversion and what drives it.

Requirements

  • 4+ years of product management experience, including at least one role where you owned conversion, adoption or engagement outcomes end to end.
  • Strong analytics and experimentation skills, including funnel analysis, cohort and retention analysis, and designing and interpreting A/B tests.
  • Experience designing lifecycle journeys or triggered workflows and the messaging within them.
  • Fluent English for daily work with global commercial, technology, and Legal, Compliance and Risk colleagues.
  • Strong product fundamentals: turns ambiguous problems into clear opportunities, works across UX, data and operations, and focuses on outcomes over delivery.
  • Funnel and journey thinking: looks for where clients drop out and why, designs staged journeys rather than isolated features, and sizes the opportunity before designing the fix.
  • Two-sided design: builds for clients and the internal teams serving them, and weighs automation against human judgement.
  • Behavioural instinct: thinks in triggers, incentives and habit loops, and knows conversion is earned rather than shipped.
  • Analytical depth: works with Data as a partner and can build and defend the exposure and funnel view.
  • Commercial awareness: understands how product decisions affect revenue and margin, and prioritises on business impact.
  • High agency and pragmatism: works well in under-defined environments, bias to action, does not wait for perfect structure.
  • Deep customer curiosity: talks regularly with clients and CPMs and uses what they say to inform decisions.
  • Nice to have:
  • Familiarity with foreign exchange, hedging or other asset classes.
  • Experience in fintech or regulated financial products.
  • Experience building internal or advisor-facing tools alongside client-facing products.
  • Localisation awareness.
