Description

Why the company?

We established the company in 2014 because we thought that AI would be the most important technology of our time. Since then, we’ve worked with over 350 global customers to transform their performance through human-centric AI. You can read about our real-world impact here .

We don’t chase hype cycles. We innovate, build and deploy responsible AI which moves the needle - and we know a thing or two about doing it well. We bring an unparalleled depth of technical, product and delivery expertise to our clients who span government, finance, retail, energy, life sciences and defence.

Our business, and reputation, is growing fast and we’re always on the lookout for individuals who share our intellectual curiosity and desire to build a positive legacy through technology.

AI is an epoch-defining technology, join a company where you’ll be empowered to envision its most powerful applications, and to make them happen.

About the role

In the company’s Applied AI group, we partner with ambitious organisations across private and public sectors to help them reinvent how they work, compete and serve people with AI. We bring them our extensive expertise in using AI in real-world situations and a track record of delivering serious impact.

Product managers in Applied AI provide strategic leadership for the company’s clients, guiding stakeholders through discovery, decision-making and execution. We help our clients to achieve the greatest impact for their organisations with the very latest AI advancements and we teach bleeding-edge product development practices.

As a Lead Product Manager at the company, you’ll take on large strategic client engagements, leading teams that include top-flight Data Scientists, Machine Learning Engineers and Product Designers, among others. You’ll help to drive the strategic direction of high-impact AI products for our clients, balancing complex technical considerations and user needs to achieve real commercial outcomes.

What you'll be doing:

Building and shipping impactful products that realise the potential of frontier AI.

Acting as a trusted advisor to senior stakeholders at big-name clients on their product and AI strategies.

Leading discovery to identify the right problems to solve, using clear hypotheses and success measures to decide what gets built.

Keeping teams focused on outcomes, not just outputs by defining clear goals, shaping prioritisation and articulating trade-offs.

Embedding innovation culture among our clients, guiding and inspiring them.

Collaborating with your cross-functional teammates including Data Scientists, Engineers, Product Designers and Delivery to set the quality bar for AI products, including the eval strategy to ensure they continue to work as intended.

Building lasting product development capability in client organisations, from the habits of individual teams to the product operating model as a whole.

Advising clients on how AI can accelerate and improve their product development lifecycle, from research and discovery through to delivery and measurement.

Contributing to the company's product practice through developing case studies, thought leadership and repeatable methods that scale across clients.

Partnering with Delivery leads on planning and execution, including supporting business development and fostering strong client relationships.

Coaching and developing other product managers.

Who we're looking for:

You have substantial experience conceiving, building and launching products at scale, including at least 2 years in a product leadership role.

You’ve routinely worked directly with C-suite or equivalent senior leaders at significant, successful organisations.

Exceptional commercial acumen: you've made the case for new products or services - whether for revenue, savings or public benefit - and defended it with senior budget holders.

You relish unstructured problems and can turn them into clear plans that teams can execute.

You can comfortably converse with experts in how AI models are created, evaluated and operationalised.

You have demonstrable experience in rolling out cutting-edge AI-accelerated product development processes.

You have a clear track record of mentoring team members and fostering a collaborative, ambitious culture.

You show forward-thinking initiative to spot new client opportunities, solve ambiguous problems, and build enduring organisational value.

Desirable experience

You have meaningful professional services or consulting experience, ideally with large enterprises.

You’ve held a product leadership position in at least one scaled-up, fast-moving product-led organisation, owning significant scope and achieving meaningful impact.

You're an active voice in the product community, speaking at conferences or contributing to panels and publications.

Our Recruitment Ethos

We aim to grow the best team - not the most similar one. We know that diversity of individuals fosters diversity of thought, and that strengthens our principle of seeking truth. And we know from experience that diverse teams deliver better work, relevant to the world in which we live. We’re united by a deep intellectual curiosity and desire to use our abilities for measurable positive impact. We strongly encourage applications from people of all backgrounds, ethnicities, genders, religions and sexual orientations.

If you don’t feel you meet all the requirements, but are excited by the role and know you bring some key strengths, please don't hesitate in applying as you might be right for this role, or other roles. We are open to conversations about part-time hours.

A note on AI: we're happy for you to use it for research and interview prep, but please don't use it to generate answers during live interviews. We also use an AI note-taker (Metaview) in interviews so interviewers can stay present (which you can opt out of just let us know,) and every application is reviewed by a human, never decided by AI.
