Senior Fullstack Engineer (m/f/d)

Description

The company builds and evolves products for dealer customers and is part of an international group in the automotive marketplace space. This role is for a senior fullstack software engineer who works mainly with React, TypeScript and Node.js, with more time on the frontend and contributions across the stack.

You need solid engineering fundamentals and sound technical judgement, and you should be able to own features in a complex, long-running product.

You will help build customer-facing AI capabilities and use GenAI tools in daily development. Your engineering depth comes first, and the company will help you grow your AI skills.

Responsibilities

• Join a product engineering team that builds products for dealer customers.
• Design, build and improve customer-facing applications in React, TypeScript and Node.js, with a frontend emphasis and work across the stack as needed.
• Own features from technical design through implementation, testing, deployment and running them in production.
• Improve quality, maintainability and architecture in large, established codebases.
• Work with Product, Design and other engineers to turn customer and business needs into practical technical solutions.
• Use GenAI development tools for coding, debugging, refactoring, testing and documentation.
• Check AI-generated output and keep quality, security and maintainability high.
• Share knowledge, take part in technical discussions and help the team improve its engineering practices.

Requirements

• 5+ years of hands-on experience building and running production software.
• Strong professional experience with React, TypeScript and Node.js.
• Strong frontend skills, plus the ability and willingness to work on backend services when needed.
• Experience working in large existing codebases and shipping maintainable, well-tested software.
• Strong grasp of software engineering fundamentals, including architecture, testing, code quality and maintainability.
• Experience owning features or technical solutions from design to production.
• Ability to make pragmatic technical decisions and explain their reasoning and trade-offs clearly.
• Experience working effectively with Product, Design and engineering colleagues in cross-functional teams.
• Interest in GenAI and AI-assisted development, and a wish to use these tools in your daily work.
• A learning mindset and the ability to pick up new technologies and tools quickly. Willingness to learn Java and contribute to Java backend services as needed.
• Strong communication skills, with the ability to collaborate, challenge ideas constructively and join technical discussions.
• Experience developing backend services in Java.
• Hands-on experience with AI-assisted development tools such as GitHub Copilot, ChatGPT, Cursor, Claude or Codex.
• Experience building features or applications that integrate LLMs or AI APIs.
• Experience with cloud environments such as AWS.
• Previous experience building products or tools for B2B customers.
