Description

You will help build the AI product for the Legal & Regulatory division, which serves legal and compliance professionals who need to work faster, reduce risk and handle hard problems with confidence.

Several hundred thousand lawyers across Europe are the people we design for. Our platform pairs legal reasoning with generative AI to support research, drafting and the delivery of legal work.

The company is barely more than a year old and already works with law firms, corporate legal teams and publishers. It sits inside a larger legal and regulatory group.

As a full stack engineer you will join the team that automates knowledge work for legal professionals, with a central role in the product and real ownership of key features. You will work across backend and frontend in a small, agile setup.

The team is based at an AI campus in Berlin and values collaboration, curiosity and acting quickly.

Responsibilities

  • Build and maintain product features across the stack, from backend APIs to frontend screens.
  • Work with product and design colleagues to ship interfaces that are easy to use and perform well.
  • Keep code quality, security and scalability high through solid practices and careful architecture.
  • Help make technical decisions and shape how engineering works.
  • Try out AI tools and agents, and adopt those that make developers or the product more capable.

Requirements

  • At least 5 years of relevant experience in product software engineering.
  • Strong Python skills, especially FastAPI and asynchronous programming.
  • Solid TypeScript skills. Svelte experience is a strong plus.
  • Knowledge of software engineering best practices and security principles.
  • Experience with AI coding agents such as Cursor or Claude Code.
  • A bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering or a similar field is preferred.
  • Bonus: experience building or contributing to LLM-powered products.
  • An entrepreneurial mindset with strong ownership and a sense of urgency.
  • A pragmatic approach: solving the problem matters more to you than using new or hyped technology.
  • Accountability for high-quality results.
  • Clear communication in English. German is a plus.

Conditions

Permanent contract from the first day.

Hybrid role: you spend at least 8 days a month at the office in Berlin.

Home working is allowed on up to three days each week, which equals 8 days a month in the office, with flexible hours.

You can work from anywhere in the EU for up to 20 days in any twelve-month period.

Interviews must be done without AI tools or outside help, with virtual backgrounds removed and in-person steps included. You may be required to attend an onsite interview at one of the employer's offices.

Benefits

  • 30 vacation days from 2027, and 26 days in 2026.
  • One extra day off per year for volunteer work.
  • E-learning through LinkedIn, online language lessons through goFluent, and other training and development options.
  • JobRad leasing for a bicycle or e-bike of your choice.
  • Company pension scheme.
  • A budget of €300 for IT equipment for your home office.
  • An office in Berlin.
  • Structured onboarding with a buddy program.
