Senior Full-Stack Engineer

Description

The company is a small engineering team building a platform that connects buyers and sellers of GPU computing capacity.

This is a senior role that leans toward backend work and mixes system design with hands-on coding. You will own features from planning through implementation to keeping production stable.

Responsibilities

• Design and code server-side systems, plus frontend screens, covering stock levels, purchase flows, price quote requests, and billing.
• Write feature plans and specifications, direct AI coding agents to produce code faster, and check that their output is correct and of good quality.
• Add automated identity and business checks, integrations with messaging tools, live chat, and an AI-driven support assistant to the platform.
• Run and look after live systems, with attention to speed, uptime, and code that is easy to change.
• Join product discussions and daily team check-ins, and help work through customer support questions and tickets.

Requirements

• You have 8 to 12 years of software engineering experience, including shipping customer-facing web apps and a significant amount of backend work.
• You have worked as a founder or at an early-stage startup, and you work independently and adjust well to change.
• You are skilled with React, TypeScript, SQL, and current HTML and CSS. Experience with Go, Rust, Node.js, Bun, Temporal, or Kafka is relevant.
• You have worked directly with Kubernetes and can set up CI/CD pipelines.
• You are familiar with building software using AI tools, including writing plans and specifications for AI agents.
• You have experience with marketplaces, e-commerce, inventory, invoicing, or traditional business operations, and you have worked on products beyond crypto-only ones.
• You are comfortable helping customers and working with others during core hours of 11 AM to 4 PM Eastern Time.

Conditions

Base salary ranges from $200,000 to $275,000 USD per year. Visa sponsorship is available.

The role is remote, with the main work location in Canada. You must be able to work hours that are compatible with US time.
