Description

The company is a global bank with about 200 million customer accounts, operating in more than 160 countries and jurisdictions. It serves consumers, corporations, governments and institutions across consumer banking and credit, corporate and investment banking, securities brokerage, transaction services and wealth management.

The role sits in the Markets Technology division. You will take primary ownership of front-end development for a trade processing application that supports Security Financing Transactions across the Fixed Income, Markets Treasury and Finance business lines.

This is a senior, full-stack-capable role with a heavy front-end focus. It calls for deep.NET and C# skills and modern UI frameworks, particularly React. The ideal candidate has 5+ years of hands-on experience building and modernizing enterprise web applications, and financial services or capital markets experience is strongly preferred. You will act as a subject matter expert, working with cross-functional technology teams and senior stakeholders to deliver scalable, compliant, well-tested UI solutions.

The team is part of the Operations & Technology organization, which keeps the bank secure and provides the digital platforms behind its customer experience. Equal opportunity applies: the company values diversity and merit-based promotion.

Responsibilities

  • Design and deliver front-end web applications for a trade processing platform covering Security Financing Transactions in Fixed Income and Markets Treasury.
  • Own the UI development lifecycle, from gathering requirements through implementation and post-deployment support.
  • Move legacy UI components to React-based HTML5 interfaces, using the company's standard design components.
  • Deliver all front-end work with fully automated testing and sound design standards.
  • Oversee every development phase: analysis, design, construction, testing and implementation.
  • Run feasibility studies, prepare time and cost estimates, and contribute to IT planning for the application.
  • Investigate complex technical problems, compare business and system processes against industry standards, and recommend solutions.
  • Recommend and build security measures as part of post-implementation reviews.
  • Advise business users, clients and cross-functional teams on advanced programming solutions and resolve technical issues.
  • Track business unit performance against IT plans and service level agreements, and escalate any gaps.
  • Set and maintain operating standards and development processes for the team.
  • Mentor junior analysts and other team members as a subject matter expert.
  • Assess risk in technology and business decisions, ensuring compliance with applicable laws, regulations and company policies.
  • Work with a high degree of autonomy and independent judgment while supporting senior stakeholders across the organization.

Requirements

  • 5+ years of UI or full-stack development, with a strong focus on front-end engineering.
  • Mandatory proficiency in.NET and C#, with proven experience building or supporting enterprise-grade applications.
  • Proficiency in React is required. Experience with Angular is a plus, since the wider team maintains components in both frameworks.
  • Solid command of HTML5, CSS3 and JavaScript.
  • Experience with test frameworks and a commitment to fully automated testing.
  • Knowledge of TypeScript is preferred.
  • Experience with JSON and XML data formats and REST API-based web service integrations.
  • Prior experience in financial services, capital markets or trade processing applications is a significant advantage.
  • Familiarity with Security Financing Transactions, Fixed Income or similar capital markets instruments is beneficial.
  • Self-motivated, detail-oriented, and able to work independently with limited supervision.
  • A bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering or a related field, or equivalent professional experience.
  • Other job-related duties may be assigned as required.
