Description

Customers should feel they are talking to one company, whether they are reading a marketing email, speaking with a salesperson, or using the product. The company is creating a new GTM Engineering function to connect those touchpoints and help more businesses find what the product can do for them.

This is a new engineering function inside an established product organization. The role sets its technical direction and turns an early GTM engine into dependable production systems, beginning with a team of 2 to 3 engineers. The first priority is linking product and marketing work so the team can see what is running, understand what performs, and improve it. The company offers its resources and scale, and the team's working habits will be shaped from the start.

This is a hands-on leadership role. You will explore unfamiliar systems, build and test early solutions, and help engineers take ownership as those solutions mature. The stack includes TypeScript and Node.js services, Customer.io, Salesforce and Snowflake, and it connects to the core application and a Haskell backend. You will work closely with Product, Data, Marketing and Revenue.

Responsibilities

  • Set the technical strategy for the GTM engine, deciding what to build and how it fits with existing marketing, sales and data systems.
  • Build orchestration that turns product launches and ongoing GTM plans into coordinated workflows, linking audiences and signals to actions across channels.
  • Improve the technology for inbound and outbound sales, covering how prospects are found, enriched, qualified and routed, and how sales teams respond to those signals.
  • Build workflows and measurement into the systems you deliver so the team can spot failures, test new approaches, and see what drives acquisition and expansion.
  • Bring AI into GTM workflows and into how the team writes software. Take capabilities from prototype to reliable use with evaluation, testing and suitable human review, and measure whether they improve results.
  • Coach engineers and help them take ownership of the systems they build, while staying hands-on in the code.

Requirements

  • Strong experience in GTM engineering, including marketing technology, or in growth engineering.
  • Professional engineering management experience, supported by recent hands-on engineering work.
  • Practical experience using AI to build software or improve workflows, with the judgment to assess results and make them dependable.
  • Experience shipping AI-powered GTM workflows is strongly preferred. Your domain experience and your AI experience may have been gained in different roles or projects.
