Description

The company helps businesses connect, protect, analyze and act on their data and applications, from the edge to the cloud. This hybrid role is based in Andover, MA or Ft. Collins, CO.

You will support or lead engineering teams through product development and implementation. Programs run longer than projects, span several functions and projects, and carry complex requirements. You will manage schedules, budgets, staffing and company-wide communication so products ship on time and within budget.

You will work with engineering management to improve processes and program efficiency. Some work involves external parties such as standards bodies and partners.

This is a subject matter expert role. You will use significant independent judgment to choose the best approach, and you may lead and mentor others.

Responsibilities

  • Lead program management for AI innovation and strategic initiatives, working with engineers, architects, data scientists and innovation teams to plan, deliver, drive adoption and measure business results.
  • Build the schedules, critical deliverables, budgets, resource allocation plans and other support needs for your assigned program.
  • Direct supporting project teams and internal development partners, track progress against the plan, and use business data to adjust schedules and resources so product requirements and deadlines are met.
  • Report program progress, escalations and issue analysis to product stakeholders. Work with management and internal manufacturing and development partners to recommend and carry out changes to products, processes or business practices that resolve escalations and keep budgets and roadmaps on track.

Requirements

  • A bachelor's or master's degree in business management, engineering, computer science or an equivalent field.
  • Typically 6-10 years of engineering experience.
  • Working knowledge of AI, generative AI, LLMs, intelligent agents and emerging AI technologies, with the ability to partner with innovation teams and manage AI initiatives from concept through deployment.
  • A track record of leading cross-functional programs built on emerging technologies, including coordinating stakeholders, managing roadmaps, tracking outcomes and driving adoption.
  • The ability to turn technical AI concepts into business and operational plans that align engineering, innovation and business goals.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, excellent written and verbal communication, and full professional command of English.
  • Business acumen and proven experience running all aspects of programs, communicating with stakeholders, and directing matrixed teams and resources.
  • The ability to present plans, proposals and results, and to negotiate options with senior management.
  • Preferred: PMP or PMI certification.
  • Preferred: experience supporting or leading AI innovation programs, incubations, proofs of concept, pilots or AI-enabled transformation initiatives.
  • Preferred: experience with performance engineering, benchmarking, scalability, optimization or performance analytics in enterprise software or cloud environments.
  • Preferred: experience working with or supporting a Performance Center of Excellence or a similar cross-functional technical governance group.
