This is a senior engineering role with a Professional Engineering job family.

Responsibilities

• Design, test, inspect and update electronic systems, components, equipment and software.
• Evaluate systems, then recommend and carry out design changes or equipment repairs using current technology.
• Plan, test and operate electrical, electronic, mechanical and computer components, equipment and systems.
• Develop and maintain software on Linux and Windows.
• Build software for instrument control.

Requirements

• Bachelor of Science in Engineering, Computer Science, Math or Physics.
• 5+ years of related experience.
• 4+ years of related experience.
• Strong math and/or physics background.
• Proficiency in systems administration for Microsoft Windows and Unix/Linux.
• Experience installing, patching and troubleshooting both Linux and Windows platforms.
• Computer literacy, including Linux and operating systems.
• Preferred: experience with Microsoft Active Directory and Red Hat Linux.
• Desired: experience with MATLAB, C++, C, SQL or similar for software development.

Conditions

Work onsite at a customer site, listed as USA ID Bayview.

Scheduled at 40 hours per week.

No travel is required.

US citizenship is required.

You must be able to obtain and maintain a SECRET clearance; no clearance is needed to apply.

The likely salary range is $85,093 - $115,000. This is not a guaranteed figure, as pay depends on experience, geographic location and possibly contract terms, and may fall outside this range.
