Description

The company is hiring a senior engineer to run and grow its enterprise DNS, DHCP and IP address management (IPAM) platforms, which keep connectivity working across a worldwide multi-cloud setup.

You will be the go-to expert for DDI services, steering architecture choices, automation work and security upgrades that support global operations.

The role covers the IP address estate across on-premises, cloud and hybrid systems at a large global financial institution.

Responsibilities

  • Design highly available DNS setups for global enterprise networks that are resilient, scale well and meet network security standards.
  • Handle IPv4 and IPv6 addresses end to end: subnet design, address planning, usage tracking, reclaiming unused space and forecasting capacity.
  • Set and maintain the policies, standards and workflows for allocating IP space across data centers, cloud platforms, branch offices and application environments.
  • Work with ARIN, RIPE NCC, APNIC and LACNIC on public IP allocations, and manage related ASN and internet routing resource needs.
  • Build automation for DNS, DHCP and IPAM tasks using Python, Ansible, Terraform or REST APIs to cut manual work and keep operations consistent.
  • Lead DNS security work, including DNSSEC rollout, Response Policy Zones (RPZ), threat intelligence integration, monitoring, logging and DDoS protection.
  • Investigate and fix DNS, DHCP and IP allocation incidents, write root cause analyses and recommend steps to prevent repeats and improve reliability.

Requirements

  • Five to 10 years of hands-on work in enterprise DNS, DHCP, IPAM or network infrastructure engineering.
  • Solid grasp of IPv4 and IPv6 addressing, subnetting, CIDR notation, route summarization and utilization analysis in large environments.
  • Proven skill designing, running, troubleshooting and securing enterprise DNS, both authoritative and recursive.
  • Hands-on experience managing IP allocations across data centers, cloud and branch networks, including governance and lifecycle processes.
  • Experience with enterprise DDI platforms such as Infoblox, BlueCat, TCPWave or EfficientIP.
  • Strong analysis and diagnosis skills, with a record of solving complex network issues under pressure.
  • A bachelor's degree in a relevant field or equivalent professional experience.
  • Beneficial: knowledge of ASNs, BGP basics, RPKI, ROA management and geofeed administration.
  • Beneficial: experience coordinating public IP resources directly with registries, cloud providers or telecom carriers.
  • Beneficial: background in financial services or large enterprise technology.
  • Beneficial: a master's degree in a relevant discipline.
  • Beneficial: ability to work well across global virtual teams in a cross-functional setting.
