You will help build, run and grow cloud, data and AI platforms for large international clients as a DevOps engineer on the Advanced Technology Solutions team at the company.
You will be the only dedicated DevOps engineer on the project. You will work day to day with developers, QA and other engineers, and also with wider DevOps groups to keep the work in line with company standards and good practice.
The company treats AI skill as a core part of modern development. Teams use AI across software, data, cloud, automation and analytics work, including GitHub Copilot, Cursor, Claude Code and the company's internal ChatPwC. The company partners with Microsoft and OpenAI. You are expected to use AI tools actively to work faster, solve problems better and build scalable, high-impact solutions in a responsible way.
Responsibilities
Help build out a new analytics and automation platform that replaces older workflow-based data tools. Users build and run workflows on the desktop, and cloud-native backend services handle scheduling, monitoring, governance and large-scale execution.
Own the DevOps and platform base the product needs as it grows. This covers the Kubernetes setup, deployment patterns, CI/CD pipelines, observability and reliable engineering habits across the full software delivery lifecycle. You will make practical infrastructure decisions and work largely on your own.
Design, build and run infrastructure for a new analytics and automation platform that has no existing estate.
Run production Kubernetes environments, including deployments, workload operations, troubleshooting and reliability.
Work with managed Kubernetes services such as AKS, or apply similar experience with EKS or GKE.
Set up and maintain repeatable deployments to Kubernetes using Helm, Kustomize and GitOps tools such as Argo CD or Flux, or equivalent CI/CD pipelines.
Build and improve CI/CD pipelines, release workflows and deployment automation across the software delivery lifecycle.
Configure and support Ingress, TLS, DNS and basic NetworkPolicies.
Implement and maintain Kubernetes security fundamentals: RBAC, secrets handling and pod security.
Improve observability with monitoring and logging through Prometheus and Grafana, or cloud-native tools such as Datadog.
Provision clusters and related cloud resources with Terraform, OpenTofu or similar infrastructure-as-code tools.
Work with container registries, VPC or VNet networking, secret stores and workload identity and IAM.
Work closely with developers, QA and other engineers, and align project practice with wider DevOps standards across the company.
