About the Role

You will be measured on one thing above all else: velocity marketing-sourced pipeline, delivered at an efficient CAC.

Today, this segment runs on direct and paid ads programs. Your job is to scale what works, fix what leaks, and build the full-funnel engine around it, from the first ad click through website conversion, trial and product signups, nurture, and handoff to our BDR and AE teams.

You operate like an owner: hypothesis-led, fast to ship, and accountable to pipeline, not just leads. You will partner closely with Marketing Operations, RevOps, PMM, Design, Content, and Velocity Sales leadership, and work day-to-day with our paid search agency.

This is an onsite position that requires at least 4 days a week (Monday - Thursday) in our San Francisco HQ.

Responsibilities

  • Paid Acquisition (Google, Bing, LinkedIn, Meta)
  • Own the velocity paid ads strategy and budget across search and social, managing to pipeline, CAC, and ROAS targets.
  • Work hands-on in the platforms: campaign structure, keyword and audience strategy, bidding, budget pacing, and creative testing.
  • Direct our paid search agency day-to-day: set priorities, review their work, and hold them to pipeline outcomes.
  • Shift spend weekly based on what turns into qualified pipeline, not just what turns into leads.
  • Website Conversion & Experimentation
  • Own conversion on the pages velocity buyers use most: pricing, product, comparison, demo, and trial pages.
  • Run the experimentation backlog: write hypotheses, prioritize them, launch tests, read results, and ship the winners.
  • Improve visit-to-lead and lead-to-SQL conversion rates, with paid landing pages built to match the ads that drive traffic to them.
  • Trial & Product Signup Funnel
  • Grow the volume and quality of free trial and product demo signups for SMB and Mid-Market buyers.
  • Partner with Product, Marketing Ops, and Sales to turn trial activity into qualified handoffs to BDRs and AEs, with clear signals for who is ready to talk.
  • Find and fix drop-off between signup, activation, and sales conversation.
  • Lifecycle Email & Nurture
  • Build and run nurture programs in Marketo for velocity leads and trial users who are not yet ready for sales.
  • Segment by company size, persona, use case, and behavior, and trigger programs from intent and product activity.
  • Bring stalled and closed-lost velocity opportunities back into the funnel.
  • Funnel Analytics & Sales Partnership
  • Build and maintain velocity funnel dashboards with Marketing Ops and RevOps, from spend to Closed-Won.
  • Run a weekly velocity pipeline review with Sales leadership and make the calls on where to invest next.
  • Keep a tight feedback loop with BDRs and AEs on lead quality, routing, speed to lead, and messaging.

Requirements

  • 5+ years in B2B SaaS growth or demand marketing, with direct accountability for pipeline in a high-velocity, sales-led motion selling to SMB and Mid-Market buyers.
  • Deep, hands-on paid expertise: You have run SEM and paid social campaigns yourself, not just overseen them. You know how to structure accounts, manage bids and budgets, write creative briefs, and optimize to pipeline instead of cost per lead.
  • Proven at conversion: You have designed A/B tests that produced measurable conversion wins, and you understand sample size, statistical significance, and when a test is worth running.
  • Full-funnel thinker: You have connected paid, website, trial, and email into one system, and you know where velocity funnels usually leak.
  • Analytically rigorous: CAC, CAC payback, ROAS, conversion rates, and pipeline velocity are how you think. You are comfortable building dashboards in Salesforce or a BI tool and presenting recommendations to senior leadership.
  • Hypothesis-led and fast to ship: You form a clear thesis, move quickly from idea to live, and do not over-engineer.
  • Strong cross-functional partner: You work naturally with Sales, RevOps, PMM, Product, and agencies, and you lead with influence rather than authority.
  • AI-forward: You use AI to build agents, automate reporting and campaign work, and ship faster. Marketing engineering experience is a plus.
  • Tools: Google Ads, Microsoft Ads, LinkedIn Campaign Manager, Meta Ads Manager, GA4, Salesforce, and Marketo. Experience with Outreach, ZoomInfo, G2, and website testing tools is a plus.
