You will turn large, complicated intelligence datasets into findings that help decision-makers, and you will improve how analytic workflows are built and repeated.

The role is for an experienced technical leader who can work independently and guide modern data science practice across the team.

Responsibilities

  • Build analytic solutions that turn complex intelligence data into insights for mission stakeholders.
  • Design and implement scalable data pipelines, automation, and analytic processes that help analysts find patterns, trends, and operational opportunities in large, varied datasets.
  • Work directly with intelligence professionals to apply data science methods to difficult mission problems, making workflows more efficient, repeatable, and rigorous.
  • Use senior-level Python to build production-ready tools, automate manual work, and create reusable analytic capabilities.
  • Create visualizations and dashboards that present complex findings clearly so mission partners can use them in daily operations and strategic planning.
  • Rapidly prototype and deploy solutions as new requirements come up.
  • Manage several concurrent projects on your own while working with multidisciplinary teams across the Intelligence Community.
  • Lead the application of modern data science practices, keeping solutions scalable, maintainable, and aligned with enterprise modernization initiatives.

Requirements

  • Active TS/SCI clearance; the ability to obtain a CI Poly is preferred.
  • Experience supporting intelligence missions through data science, advanced analytics, or intelligence analysis.
  • Ability to work independently at a senior level with minimal oversight.
  • Senior-level Python skills and experience building production-quality analytic applications and automation.
  • Proven ability to design scalable processes for large, complex datasets to surface trends, patterns, and analytic discoveries.
  • Experience building data models, automation workflows, and repeatable analytic processes.
  • Experience creating visualizations, dashboards, and data products that communicate findings and support operational decisions.
  • Experience juggling multiple projects and technical initiatives at once in a high-tempo operational setting.
  • Solid grasp of data analysis, statistical methods, and data-driven problem solving.
  • Strong written and verbal communication, including presenting technical material to varied audiences.
  • Familiarity with common Intelligence Community data repositories.
  • Proven ability to work well with analysts, engineers, and mission stakeholders to deliver new solutions.
  • Familiarity with geospatial data science, GEOINT workflows, or multi-INT analysis.
  • Nice to have: experience with other programming languages or low-code/no-code platforms such as JEMA, Brewlytics, or ArcGIS ModelBuilder.
  • Nice to have: experience building enterprise-level dashboards and visualizations with modern business intelligence tools.
  • Nice to have: experience applying machine learning or AI techniques to intelligence problems.
  • Nice to have: experience with cloud-based data platforms and distributed computing.
  • Nice to have: experience mentoring junior data scientists or leading technical modernization efforts.
