Senior Data Center Project Manager - Infrastructure

Description

You will act as senior project manager on data center projects for one large financial client.

Experience with critical facilities infrastructure, including power distribution, delivery systems, interrupted power supply, network and sustainability distribution, is highly preferred.

Responsibilities

• Lead every phase of several real estate projects at once, from planning and design through construction, occupancy and closeout.
• Work with clients to shape the scope, delivery resources, cost estimates and budget, schedule and milestones, quality control and risk identification.
• Set the project delivery resources from pre-qualified lists or through the qualification process. Run complex RFPs, evaluate bids and recommend resources to clients.
• Guide the creation of a project charter and an integrated timeline.
• Keep every workstream on schedule, and resolve issues or escalate them.
• Run regular meetings to review status for active and upcoming projects.
• Work with the team to develop solutions and steer delivery to completion.
• Bring advanced thinking to find better ways of reaching individual and department goals.
• Show deep expertise in your own discipline and solid knowledge of the other disciplines in the function.
• Mentor colleagues so they build deep expertise across most or all areas of the function.
• Model the company's RISE values. Anticipate objections and persuade senior leaders with differing interests to take a new view.
• Drive customer, operational, project and service outcomes across multi-discipline teams, working within functional policies that shape procedures.
• Help develop new products, processes, standards and operating plans that support functional goals.
• Explain difficult, complex ideas clearly and influence decisions.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree preferred, with 8-10 years of relevant experience.
• A combination of experience and education will be considered in place of a degree.
• An innovative mindset that develops methods going beyond existing solutions.
• The ability to solve unique problems with standard and innovative solutions that have a broad business impact.
• In-depth knowledge of Microsoft Office products, such as Word, Excel and Outlook.
• Expert organizational skills and an advanced inquisitive mindset.

Conditions

This is a remote role that includes travel to client sites.

Ideally based in the Twin Cities, Birmingham, Alabama or Chicago, Illinois, with the Central Time Zone preferred and the ability to travel.

On-site requirements may change depending on the client's needs.

SOX control responsibilities may be part of the role and must be followed where they apply.
