Project Manager

Description

Founded in 2017 and based in New York City, the company secures blockchain protocols, smart contracts and decentralized applications through audits, penetration testing, on-chain monitoring, incident response and compliance work.

It serves thousands of enterprise clients and Web3 projects worldwide, with staff across North America, Asia and Europe.

The security consulting group helps blockchain projects and institutions protect their smart contracts, applications and Web3 infrastructure, and this role keeps those engagements on schedule from kickoff to the final report.

Responsibilities

• Manage each security engagement from kickoff through timeline planning, milestones, final report and closure.
• Confirm project requirements with security engineers, sales and other internal teams, and make sure work passes cleanly between stages.
• Serve as the main client contact, sending status updates, confirming timelines and handling change requests.
• Lead kickoff calls and report reviews, support engineers as they present findings and remediation advice, and arrange follow-up assessments and retests.
• Spot risks such as delays or scope changes, escalate them, see them resolved, and refine delivery processes over time.
• Keep project documentation current, track progress, chase open actions and keep stakeholders informed.

Requirements

• You have 3+ years of project management experience, at least 1 year of it in the blockchain industry.
• You understand smart contracts, blockchain security and penetration testing well enough to discuss technical issues with engineers and clients.
• You have run several projects at once and coordinated work across multiple teams.
• You have worked in client-facing project roles and communicate well one-to-one and in groups.
• You have worked with distributed teams across several time zones.
• You write and speak English fluently.
• Bonus Points: experience at a cybersecurity firm, ideally in security consulting or assessment delivery.
• Bonus Points: familiarity with the wider Web3 ecosystem, including major blockchains and DeFi protocols.
• Bonus Points: experience working with institutional clients such as financial institutions and enterprises.
• Bonus Points: proficiency in other languages, such as Mandarin, Spanish or Portuguese.

Conditions

The expected annual base salary for this role in the United States is $90,000 to $120,000. Pay for candidates outside the United States is set by location, experience and qualifications.
