Description

Born from groundbreaking research at Columbia University and Yale University, CertiK is a leading Web3 security company focused on securing blockchain protocols, smart contracts, and decentralized applications through cutting-edge security research, formal verification, and AI-powered technology. Founded in 2017 and headquartered in New York City, CertiK provides end-to-end security solutions including smart contract audits, penetration testing, on-chain monitoring, incident response, and compliance services for some of the largest projects in the digital asset ecosystem.

Today, CertiK supports thousands of enterprise clients and Web3 projects globally, with a distributed international team spanning North America, Asia, and Europe. The company is backed by leading investors including Coatue, Goldman Sachs, Insight Partners, and Sequoia Capital, and has been recognized by organizations such as the World Economic Forum and CB Insights for its contributions to blockchain security innovation.

About the role

CertiK works with banks, regulators and regulated financial institutions that adopt digital assets. We build regulatory technology for these markets, and we are hiring a lead product manager to own what we build next for these clients.

You will gather client needs directly and through our client-facing consultants, turn them into a clear, prioritized roadmap, and present our products to clients, prospects and regulators in North America and, when needed, abroad. Inside the company, you represent the customer.

Responsibilities

  • Run discovery with clients and prospects, on site and remotely, and work closely with the solutions consultants to set the agenda for what they learn in the field
  • Build and run a discovery channel of your own: a panel of compliance, risk and operations practitioners at banks, VASPs and regulators for structured (including paid) interviews, so requirements never depend on a single client
  • Convert client conversations and consultant findings into actionable, prioritized product and feature decisions, with the reason behind each request documented, and defend the ranking to leadership
  • Present CertiK's products and services to client teams, prospects and regulators in demos, workshops and tender presentations
  • Join Business Development and consultants on key client visits, primarily in the US, with occasional travel to Europe, the Middle East and other markets
  • Own the roadmap conversation with the CEO, Business Development and Engineering

Requirements

  • 5–8 years in B2B product management, ideally in fintech, regtech, compliance software or at a regulated financial institution
  • Domain experience in financial crime, AML or transaction monitoring, blockchain intelligence, or risk and surveillance products, whether as a product manager or from inside a compliance function
  • Has led complete product cycles from discovery to launch in a regulated or enterprise domain, with demonstrated ability to identify the underlying need behind a client's stated request and show how it changed what was built
  • Native or fully proficient English, with professional presentation skills to senior compliance, risk and regulatory audiences
  • Established prioritization framework and a record of turning customer input into shipped features
  • Sufficient technical fluency to challenge engineering decisions and hold a position under pushback
  • Directs discovery through others as well as first-hand: part of the customer input comes via consultants, and the role sets their agenda
  • Regular travel within the US and international travel as required
  • Bonus points
  • Prior product experience at a blockchain intelligence or crypto compliance platform
  • Familiarity with FATF, Travel Rule, sanctions or MiCA-type requirements as they apply to digital assets
  • Familiarity with US, UK or EU digital asset regulation
  • Experience working with regulators or on regulatory tenders
  • Compensation: If the role is performed in the US, the target annual compensation is $120,000 - $180,000. The exact compensation at which this job is filled will be determined by the skills and experience of qualified candidates.
