Description

The company is building compiler technology for its accelerated computing stack, aiming for systems that can reason about, generate, optimize and check code transformations across software and hardware.

The team sits where compilers, agent systems, numerical correctness and verification meet.

You will help design and build compiler and verification systems that make developers more productive, speed up systems and raise confidence that code is correct. The work covers compiler-oriented agents and workflows, numerical validation and verification infrastructure, and joint design with the company's compiler, runtime, library and hardware teams to get new capabilities into production tools and products.

Responsibilities

  • Design, build and tune low-level compiler systems, including compiler agents, multi-step transformation workflows, tool use, memory and orchestration.
  • Build systems that reason about low-level IR, code generation, optimization passes, scheduling, numerical precision and performance tradeoffs for GPU workloads.
  • Create the data, environments, verification, reward and evaluation systems that keep improving compiler quality, numerical correctness, robustness and performance.
  • Build infrastructure for numerical validation, differential testing, regression detection and correctness checks on generated or transformed code.
  • Co-design compiler and verification workflows across the software stack, from models and inference through compiler pipelines, runtimes, libraries and kernels to GPUs.
  • Work closely with compiler, CUDA, library, runtime and hardware teams to bring new compiler, agent and verification capabilities into company products.
  • Lead performance analysis and optimization of generated or transformed code, focusing on correctness, scalability and real-world deployment.

Requirements

  • A bachelor's degree in computer science, electrical engineering, applied mathematics or a related field, or equivalent experience. An MS or PhD is preferred.
  • At least 5 years of relevant industry or academic experience in compilers, AI systems, numerical computing, verification, high-performance computing or related areas.
  • Hands-on experience in compiler implementation, program analysis, code generation, optimization, low-level performance engineering or correctness infrastructure.
  • Experience in one or more of: agent systems, coding agents, compiler automation, numerical analysis, program verification, differential testing, or formal or semi-formal validation methods.
  • Strong C/C++ and Python skills and solid software engineering fundamentals. Rust experience is a plus.
  • Experience with GPU programming and performance tuning using CUDA or a comparable accelerator platform.
  • Ability to work across system boundaries, from model-driven workflows and compiler infrastructure to runtime and hardware-aware optimization.
  • Stand-out signals: a record of building high-impact compiler infrastructure, coding agents, verification frameworks, correctness tooling or developer tools.
  • Stand-out signals: deep knowledge of low-level compiler stacks such as LLVM, MLIR, PTX, Triton or other IR and codegen frameworks.
  • Stand-out signals: work on AI-assisted compilation, numerical validation, equivalence checking, autotuning or compiler verification workflows.
  • Stand-out signals: deep expertise in GPU systems, numerical behavior and performance optimization, shown through benchmarks, deployed systems, publications or widely used software.
  • Stand-out signals: publications or open-source leadership in compilers, numerical computing, verification, formal methods, agentic AI, HPC, AI systems or programming systems.
