The company manufactures ophthalmic lenses and works to help people see clearly over the long term. Its range runs from tailored lenses to measurement systems.

The Senior Project Leader for New Business sits in the Blue Rise segment and builds and scales new business areas across hardware, pharma, software and digital solutions. The role reports into the Vision Care business and is highly visible to leadership.

Responsibilities

• Lead projects that set up and grow new business areas, including contact lenses, care products, pharma solutions and digital offerings.
• Turn strategic opportunities into business models that can scale, then bring them to market on time.
• Develop end-to-end business concepts and commercial models, then drive them through implementation and scale-up, even when conditions shift quickly.
• Judge opportunities, risks and return on investment with partial data, and make sound decisions without waiting for perfect information.
• Coordinate cross-functional teams such as Regulatory, Quality, Sales, Marketing, Product Management and IT so that every initiative is delivered compliantly and efficiently. You lead through projects and influence, without direct line management.
• Represent initiatives to senior stakeholders at leadership level, taking ownership and accountability for results.
• Work across regions in a global, intercultural setting, build networks based on trust and steer diverse teams toward shared goals.
• Success means launching new business models on time, growing them quickly and contributing measurably to sustainable profit and long-term value.

Requirements

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Business Administration, Engineering or a comparable field.
• Professional experience in demanding roles, preferably in project leadership, new business development, strategy execution or innovation-driven settings.
• Experience in regulated industries such as medical devices, pharma or healthcare is ideally part of your background.
• Strong strategic and analytical thinking, paired with a hands-on approach.
• A proven entrepreneurial mindset, with high ownership and the drive to deliver while navigating uncertainty and deciding on incomplete information.
• Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills.
• Strong intercultural competence and experience working with international teams.
• Fluent English and willingness to travel internationally, approximately 20-40% of the time.
