Senior Business Analyst

Description

The company is a global provider of premium electrical installation and smart-building products and digital services, sold to end customers, installers, wholesalers, system integrators and certified partners.

The project is a web-based customization platform where users configure products using fonts, colors, styles, sizes and graphic elements, with guided design, reusable templates, bulk customization and structured order management.

The platform connects to authentication services, ERP, product data management and content management systems, and is built with an AI-driven development approach.

Key technologies: Svelte, TypeScript, Java, Spring Boot, PostgreSQL, REST APIs, Drupal CMS, ERP, MDM, CI/CD.

This is a senior role in a large platform team. You will drive product discussions, manage requirements and help shape decisions with the customer and engineers.

Responsibilities

• Work with the customer to learn business needs, priorities and expected results.
• Act as proxy product owner and support daily product decisions.
• Own the requirements process from start to finish across the project lifecycle.
• Refine the backlog continuously with stakeholders and run refinement and clarification sessions with engineers.
• Match business requirements to technical approaches with architects, developers and QA engineers.
• Help set sprint priorities and make timely business decisions.
• Take an active part in Agile ceremonies and suggest process improvements.
• Find gaps, dependencies, risks and unclear points in requirements and see them resolved.
• Write and maintain user stories, acceptance criteria, business rules and other BA documents.
• Support product demos, acceptance activities and the work of folding in customer feedback.
• Use AI-assisted methods for requirements analysis, research and documentation.

Requirements

• You have 5+ years of paid experience as a business analyst on software products.
• You are strong at eliciting, analysing, breaking down, documenting and validating requirements.
• You have managed product backlogs, user stories and acceptance criteria.
• You have worked directly with customers and led requirements discussions.
• You can own product and business decisions within your area independently.
• You think like a product person, weighing business value, user needs, priorities and technical limits.
• You have enough technical background to talk with engineers, and a general grasp of APIs, integrations, data flows and modern web architecture.
• You understand AI-driven development principles and AI-assisted delivery workflows.
• You are strong in analysis, communication, facilitation and managing stakeholders.
• You take initiative, take ownership and make decisions confidently.
• You speak and write English at Advanced or Upper-Intermediate level.
• Nice to have: experience in smart home, smart building or building automation.
• Nice to have: past work as a proxy product owner or product owner.
• Nice to have: hands-on work with AI-assisted or AI-driven software development.
• Nice to have: experience with enterprise platforms that have many integrations and third-party systems.
• Nice to have: familiarity with ERP, CMS or MDM integrations.
• You bring a strong sense of ownership and clear communication, can question assumptions and keep discussions productive, think in a structured and analytical way, and work well in changing product settings. You prefer a collaborative, solution-focused approach and can get several stakeholders behind shared product goals.
