Description

Digital transformation is central to the company's Markets business, where reliable systems, strong analysis and close work between business and technology support risk control, financial reporting and commercial decisions.

Many business-critical systems are built and maintained in-house. You would join the team behind the portfolio and risk management platform and the team behind a suite of risk IT tools that connect the business with IT and serve risk analysts, quant teams and developers.

Together these teams make risk management, reporting, analytics and process automation more efficient across the company's trading activities.

The company produces clean energy and has done so for over a century. It is Europe's largest renewable energy producer and employs more than 6,000 people worldwide.

Responsibilities

  • Be the main link between Markets and IT, turning business needs into suitable digital solutions.
  • Gather needs from business users, quant analysts and developers and convert them into clear requirements and acceptance criteria.
  • Examine financial models, valuation methods, quantitative calculations and business processes to inform solution development.
  • Manage dependencies between the portfolio and risk platform, internal models and the wider risk IT landscape.
  • Set priorities and support delivery from the first business need through implementation, testing and validation.
  • Help keep improving risk management, reporting, analytics and automation solutions.
  • Work with multidisciplinary teams so that solutions function across systems and meet business needs.

Requirements

  • Substantial experience as a Business Analyst on complex, business-critical IT or digital products.
  • Strong analytical skills and solid financial-market knowledge, including financial models, valuation and quantitative calculations.
  • Relevant background in energy trading, derivatives, risk management, valuation, market or credit risk, or financial reporting.
  • Hands-on Python skills for data analysis, investigation, prototyping or automation, and the ability to discuss code with technical colleagues.
  • A structured, practical way of working, able to work independently, dig into detail and own work through implementation and validation.
  • Strong communication, facilitation and stakeholder management skills, with experience in agile, multidisciplinary teams.
  • A degree in engineering, computer science, mathematics, economics, finance or a related field, or equivalent professional experience.
  • Fluent English is required.
  • Proficiency in a Scandinavian language is an advantage.

Conditions

Based in Oslo or Düsseldorf, depending on the skills and profile of the chosen candidate.

Applications are reviewed on a rolling basis.

The company runs background checks on qualified applicants before hiring, and the applicant must be eligible for security clearance and authorisation.

The company welcomes applicants from all backgrounds and works to be a diverse and inclusive workplace.

Benefits

  • Competitive terms of employment and benefit schemes.
  • The chance to grow your career within a global network of experts, leaders, specialists and graduates.
  • Flexible working arrangements and a focus on work-life balance.
  • Social activity groups, including football, yoga, sailing, climbing, boxing and cabin rentals.
  • Certified as a Great Place to Work.
