Description

The company is a contract partner offering engineering, supply chain, and manufacturing services to large brands, with more than 60 years in business and over 100 sites worldwide.

The BIOS Developer role supports building, integrating, and validating BIOS/UEFI firmware for server and platform products, covering platform bring-up, feature work, debugging, and release readiness.

Responsibilities

  • Build, integrate, and debug BIOS/UEFI firmware features that match the platform architecture and product requirements.
  • Help bring up platforms, check boot flow, enable subsystems, and triage issues during development and validation milestones.
  • Examine firmware defects, gather logs and system data, and help with root cause analysis and closing corrective actions.
  • Work with the Electrical, Mechanical, Thermal, BMC, Validation, and Systems teams to fix cross-functional integration problems.
  • Help with BIOS validation and regression testing, and prepare firmware for milestone releases and manufacturing builds.
  • Keep firmware documentation, release notes, and issue tracking up to date, and communicate technical details needed to run the project.
  • Improve code quality, development discipline, and the reuse of firmware methods.
  • Report progress, risks, system issues, and open actions clearly to project stakeholders.

Requirements

  • A bachelor's degree in computer engineering, computer science, electrical engineering, or a related technical field.
  • 5-7 years of experience in BIOS, firmware, embedded software, or low-level platform development.
  • Working knowledge of C/C++ and firmware debugging techniques.
  • Experience with server, storage, or networking platforms.
  • Familiarity with x86 system architecture, firmware boot flow, and hardware/firmware interaction is preferred.
  • Strong problem-solving skills, with the ability to handle complex technical issues and seek guidance when needed.
  • Clear communication and teamwork skills for working across engineering disciplines.

Conditions

The company is an equal opportunity employer, and the posting includes a fraud warning: the company only contacts applicants through the company's site addresses or direct calls and never asks for payment or sensitive personal information during hiring.
