Senior Associate Business Analyst – Product Development

The company is widening its Post Trade offering with a new set of services that aim to modernise clearing, settlement and day-to-day operations for financial firms.

A Senior Associate is needed for the Rates product development team in London, which builds new tools for the OTC Rates market using an Agile approach.

The role suits someone who enjoys building products, improving industry workflows and working with OTC Rates.

The company is a global financial markets infrastructure and data provider with about 25,000 staff across 65 countries.

The team moves quickly, and the role offers high visibility as the Post Trade services grow.

Responsibilities

• Help design, build and launch new products and services in the Post Trade range.
• Turn what end users need into clear product requirements and solution specifications.
• Work with technology teams through development, testing and releases.
• Handle questions from internal stakeholders and external clients, and help them adopt the services successfully.
• Support automated testing and quality assurance within each sprint.
• Spot ways to improve current systems and help shape the future technology direction.
• Write high-quality documentation and help manage risks and issues.

Requirements

• Enjoy working through complex problems, thrive in Agile delivery and understand how post-trade operations work in financial markets.
• Required: 3-5 years of relevant experience in product development, business analysis, post-trade operations or a similar financial services role.
• Have worked as a Business Analyst or Product Owner in a Scrum or Agile team.
• Have a delivery-focused background in a middle office, post-trade, investment bank, institutional investor or clearing organisation.
• Can take part in Agile ceremonies, write user stories, set acceptance criteria and refine backlogs.
• Can analyse processes and split them into deliverables.
• Understand end-to-end processes and the dependencies between systems and services.
• Bring a quality mindset and hands-on testing experience.
• Show analytical skill, problem-solving ability and attention to detail.
• Are proficient with tools such as MS Office, Jira and Lucid.
• Communicate and collaborate well.
• Stay proactive and organised, and handle shifting priorities comfortably.
• Ideal: exposure to JSON or FpML message structures.
• Ideal: knowledge of OTC trade processing, including trade structure, terms, lifecycle and settlement processes. Experience in OTC Rates is advantageous.
