Description

The company is hiring a Senior Art Director to shape its brand look and key experiences across products, campaigns, social, video and events.

The role sits in the Global Brand team, a multidisciplinary group of designers, writers, strategists, media, production, social, account and project managers that builds, evolves and protects the company's visual identity across products, business units and regions.

The design team focuses on the craft and quality of visual storytelling so that every brand and marketing touchpoint supports the company's brand values.

You will work closely with creative leadership, writers, producers, product teams and business unit marketers to bring products, core values and customer stories to life.

The ideal person is a self-starter who iterates quickly, works well within a set system, knows when to bend it, and pushes for compelling, inspired solutions. The work spans design and production across print, digital and motion, from concept through completion, both in-house and with external agencies.

Responsibilities

  • Take a holistic view of problems and act as an influential creative leader, helping cross-functional peers identify and shape creative opportunities.
  • Turn a brief into multiple creative directions through fast, collaborative ideation and unconventional thinking.
  • Present new ideas and insights with a clear design rationale tied to business goals, and lead the team toward decisions that improve customer and business outcomes.
  • Build dynamic work inside a framework and evolve that framework to suit products, channels and regional needs.
  • Work with designers, writers, media production, project management, account teams, and brand and product strategists to deliver thoughtful, strategic solutions that grow the company's brand presence.
  • Understand web, event, social, print and video channels well enough to create mood boards and storyboards that convey intent.
  • Carry designs from concept through final hand-off to digital production teams.
  • Keep teams, clients and departments informed about project status.

Requirements

  • A bachelor's or master's degree in graphic design, plus related work experience.
  • 9+ years of design experience, preferably in tech, at an agency or in an in-house brand team.
  • A proven record of producing world-class, breakthrough work with strong visual storytelling that connects emotionally with audiences.
  • Experience building end-to-end campaigns across print, motion and video, social, digital experiences and physical spaces.
  • A deep understanding of storytelling across social channels and the ability to spot emerging opportunities.
  • Experience thinking globally, bringing ideas into other regions, and an informed understanding of regional challenges and opportunities.
  • The ability to juggle multiple projects, work productively and resourcefully, and set priorities based on business needs and timelines.
  • Proven skill at collaborating with many stakeholders and folding in feedback efficiently to move the team's strategy and final product forward.
  • A motivated self-starter who takes ownership of work and can operate amid ambiguity.
  • Enthusiasm for strong work and new possibilities, a drive to take on the next big challenge, and a desire to make an impact.
  • A portfolio showing a range of ideas, problem-solving, and strong visual design skills in typography, color theory and composition.
  • Expert-level skill in Figma and Adobe Creative Suite. After Effects experience is a plus.

Conditions

The company and/or its customers may require proof of current vaccination against certain diseases, including COVID-19. Requirements vary by role.

Some roles may be subject to U.S. export controls, which can apply to prospective employees who are nationals of embargoed or sanctioned countries. The company may need to obtain a U.S. Government export license, which can take 3 to 6+ months, or put a Technology Control Plan in place, which typically adds 2 weeks. For export-controlled roles, offers depend on an approved license and/or executed plan before the start date, and candidates will be told of any steps required.

Qualified applicants with arrest and conviction records will be considered in line with fair chance laws.

The role may be filled at a different job level than listed, depending on business need and the selected candidate's experience, knowledge and skills.

Pay depends mainly on the job level the role is filled at and the candidate's qualifications, consistent with applicable law.
