Senior AI Tools Engineer, SRE Operations - GeForce NOW

Description

The company has spent more than 25 years working on computer graphics, PC gaming and accelerated computing, and is now applying AI to the next generation of computing, where GPUs power computers, robots and self-driving cars that can perceive their surroundings.

The team is the Site Reliability Engineering (SRE) Data Team. This AI Tools Engineer role supports the operation and tuning of a critical global production service for GeForce NOW. Candidates with SRE or equivalent experience are encouraged to apply.

Responsibilities

• You will build and ship AI-powered tools and products that keep the production service running and tuned.
• You will turn large production data streams, including signals, metrics and logs, into usable insight that automates root cause analysis for incidents and forecasts future service trends.
• You will design and implement dependable AI and ML tools that analyze production data to find the causes of complex incidents and spot emerging operational trends.
• You will lead the creation of new LLM and agent-based systems that make operations more efficient.
• You will set and uphold strong data management practices, including pipelines that transform and handle the large-scale data sources needed for model development.
• You will own and improve LLM-based pipelines and bring current LLM research into product work.
• You will serve as the go-to expert on AI frameworks, recommending platforms, toolsets and architecture that keep the product technically sustainable over time.

Requirements

• A B.S. in Computer Science, Statistics or Engineering, or equivalent experience, plus 5+ years of experience.
• Strong Python skills. Go or another systems language is a plus.
• Hands-on experience building, optimizing and deploying AI tools.
• Deep knowledge of the AI field, including how LLM platforms are built and tuned, and which ones fit which jobs.
• Hands-on experience with Kubernetes and AWS cloud environments.
• You stay current with AI developments and can separate meaningful advances from hype when making technical decisions.
• Strong experience with automation and large-scale data pipelines.
• Experience using monitoring and visualization tools such as Grafana to work with data.
• Ability to work with data sources and pipelines to transform and manage data.
• Nice to have: understanding of SRE principles and experience running production environments.
• Nice to have: strong work on LLM improvement pipelines and a solid understanding of recent LLM training methods.
• Nice to have: deep LLM and AI model knowledge, with the judgment to recommend a long-term approach and avoid costly platform mistakes.
• Nice to have: working knowledge of SRE concepts, production operations, Kubernetes, AWS and other cloud technologies.
• Nice to have: proficiency in automation.

Conditions

Base salary depends on location, experience and other objective job-related factors. The expected base salary range is 144,000 USD to 230,000 USD.
