Senior AI Engineer

Description

The role is a senior hands-on position in AI engineering, focused on designing, building and rolling out generative AI and large language model solutions for enterprise clients.

You will help shape technical decisions and keep delivery quality high across several projects.

The work is technical and involves regular contact with clients. You will partner with AI architects, product owners and client stakeholders to turn business needs into working AI systems that connect to existing enterprise platforms.

You will take solutions through their full life, from early experiments and prototypes to tuning, release, monitoring and ongoing improvement, with a focus on measurable business results.

Responsibilities

• Design, build and deploy complete GenAI and LLM applications in enterprise settings.
• Build advanced RAG pipelines, orchestration workflows, prompt engineering approaches and evaluation frameworks.
• Develop scalable backend services and APIs that link LLM solutions to CRM, ERP, data platforms and internal tools.
• Take part in architecture discussions and make sure implementations follow the agreed technical standards.
• Improve model performance, latency and cost efficiency in cloud environments.
• Set up testing, evaluation, monitoring and observability for AI systems running in production.
• Work with data engineers, software engineers, DevOps and business stakeholders.
• Apply security, compliance and responsible AI practices.
• Join client workshops, technical demos and solution presentations when needed.
• Keep up with new GenAI frameworks, tools and practices, and bring useful ones into delivery projects.

Requirements

• A bachelor's or master's degree in data science, machine learning, computer science, engineering or a related field.
• 5+ years in AI/ML or software engineering with substantial AI work, including production-grade delivery.
• Proven hands-on experience with GenAI and LLM solutions, covering prompt engineering, RAG architectures and evaluation methods.
• Strong Python skills and experience with current AI/ML frameworks and libraries.
• Experience building and deploying AI systems on AWS or Azure, including CI/CD and MLOps practices.
• Solid understanding of APIs, microservices, distributed systems and scalable backend development.
• Experience tuning AI systems for performance, reliability and cost.
• Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to work in demanding, client-driven settings.
• Plus: experience in consulting, systems integration or professional services.
• Plus: familiarity with orchestration tools such as LlamaIndex, LangGraph or similar.
• Plus: experience with LLM monitoring, evaluation frameworks and AIOps.
• Plus: exposure to AI governance, security and compliance standards in enterprise settings.
• Plus: experience working with both commercial and open-source LLMs.
