Senior AI/AML Engineer, Vice President

Description

The company's wealth management division is hiring a Vice President, Senior AI/AML Engineer. This is a hands-on senior engineering role building enterprise-grade generative AI and agent-based systems.

You will design, build, and scale LLM-powered systems on current agent frameworks, including ADK (Agent Development Kit), with controls that meet risk, governance, and regulatory requirements.

You will combine deep AI engineering skill with working knowledge of financial services, AML, and enterprise controls, and work alongside Technology, Product, Risk, and Compliance teams.

Responsibilities

• Build LLM-based applications and agent systems with LangChain and ADK
• Set up multi-agent orchestration, tool chaining, and workflow automation
• Write input and output validation guardrails so the AI behaves safely and within policy
• Connect AI solutions to enterprise APIs, data platforms, and internal systems
• Design real-time and asynchronous AI pipelines using REST, streaming, and WebSockets
• Work with Risk, Compliance, and Model Governance teams on MRM validation and approvals
• Own delivery of AI solutions from concept through production
• Lead and mentor engineers
• Set engineering standards and reusable frameworks for AI work
• Make AI systems observable, monitored, and fast

Requirements

• At least 3 years in AI or ML engineering and 6+ years of total engineering experience
• Strong Python and backend development skills
• Hands-on use of ADK (Agent Development Kit) to build and orchestrate agents
• Hands-on use of LangChain or a similar LLM framework
• Experience with LLM and GenAI systems, including RAG, agents, and tool chaining
• Track record of shipping production systems in enterprise settings
• Solid grasp of API integration, distributed systems, and microservices
• Experience in regulated industries
• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field
• Preferred: experience building multi-agent systems with ADK or similar frameworks
• Preferred: familiarity with LLM platforms such as Gemini, OpenAI, or Vertex AI
• Preferred: knowledge of AML systems, financial crime detection, or compliance workflows
• Preferred: experience with AI guardrails, evaluation frameworks, and observability tools
• Preferred: exposure to real-time AI systems such as voice, streaming, or event-driven architectures
• Preferred: experience on GCP, AWS, or Azure
• Preferred: financial services experience

Conditions

Full-time role based in Jersey City, New Jersey, United States

Base salary range of $142,320.00 to $213,480.00
