Description

The team sits within the AI Platform group and builds tools and infrastructure that speed up experimentation across the company.

The company makes legal data intelligence software, including the cloud platform RelativityOne, which helps law firms, corporations and government agencies find and act on relevant information in high-stakes matters such as litigation, investigations and data breach responses.

Engineers here use AI tools in their day-to-day work to design, improve and ship scalable software, and the stack includes Claude or Cursor, Python, GitHub, GitHub Actions, Docker, Azure, Kubernetes, Databricks, MLflow, OpenTelemetry and PagerDuty.

Responsibilities

  • Help design, build and run distributed, secure, scalable full-stack cloud services that process petabytes of data each week.
  • Build responsive, accessible user interfaces and extend backend services and data pipelines.
  • Write clean, testable, maintainable code that delivers value to customers.
  • Work with teammates and product partners to build AI-powered legal data solutions at very large scale.
  • Take part in design and code reviews, giving feedback that improves quality and maintainability.
  • Support service reliability, including on-call rotations and incident response.
  • Coordinate with other the company teams to keep delivery moving.
  • Keep up with the fast-changing field of AI tools and methods.

Requirements

  • At least 3 years of experience designing, building and running cloud-native distributed systems.
  • Hands-on work with APIs, event-driven architecture and data platforms.
  • Comfort building distributed services for the cloud.
  • Ability to write clean, well-tested, maintainable code with modern tooling and CI/CD.
  • A focus on security and reliability, and strong collaboration with engineering, product and design.
  • A habit of asking what the team is really building and why it is the right choice, rather than simply closing tickets.
  • Nice to have: experience with performance or cost optimization.
  • Nice to have: familiarity with AI development tools such as Cursor or Claude Code.

Conditions

Hybrid or remote work.

The role is eligible for total compensation made up of a base salary, an annual performance bonus and long-term incentives.

Expected base salary range: $103,000 to $155,000. The final offer depends on experience, skills, qualifications and internal pay equity. Offers at the top of the range are not typical, so that future salary growth remains possible.

The company is committed to fair and equitable pay practices.

The company welcomes applicants from diverse backgrounds.

Benefits

  • Competitive salary, health and retirement plans and wellness resources.
  • Discretionary time off, two annual company breaks and parental leave for primary and secondary caregivers.
