Description

Life. Unlimited. At Smith+Nephew we design and manufacture technology that takes the limits off living.

Are you passionate about helping teams do their best work? As our Scrum Master in Wrocław, you will join a Solutions Pod and create the conditions for people to collaborate effectively, learn quickly and turn ambitious product goals into meaningful outcomes. This is a role where your coaching, facilitation and Agile expertise will help the team continuously improve how value is delivered.

What will you be doing?

You will be at the heart of the Solutions Pod, helping the Scrum Team turn goals into valuable, usable increments while building sustainable ways of working

You will coach the team in Scrum principles, Agile values, self management and cross functional collaboration, facilitating purposeful Sprint Planning, Daily Scrums, Sprint Reviews and Retrospectives. Working closely with the Product Owner and Tech Lead, you will help maintain focus on the Product Goal and Sprint Goals while making progress, capacity, risks, impediments and dependencies transparent

Beyond facilitating Scrum events, you will help the team improve delivery flow and predictability. You will encourage effective management of work in progress, help reduce handoffs and dependencies, strengthen working agreements and support the team in finishing work before starting more. When systemic blockers arise, you will help connect the pod with Security, Data, Quality, Architecture, Platform Engineering and other enabling teams

You will create an environment where constructive challenge, psychological safety and continuous improvement can thrive, helping the team learn from evidence, address issues early and take collective accountability for outcomes

What will you need to be successful?

Success in this role means creating the conditions for a team to become increasingly focused, self managing and effective. You will bring a servant leader mindset, knowing when to coach and facilitate rather than direct, while remaining comfortable challenging practices that get in the way of better outcomes.

At least 6-7 years of relevant Agile delivery experience, including experience as a Scrum Master or Agile Coach within a digital product, technology or software delivery environment

Deep practical knowledge of Scrum, supported by a strong understanding of Agile and flow based approaches such as Kanban, with proven experience improving flow, collaboration, quality, predictability and value delivery

Strong coaching, facilitation, communication and stakeholder management skills, including the ability to navigate conflict, build psychological safety and influence effectively without formal authority

Sufficient technical fluency to work credibly with software, data, cloud, quality and platform specialists, complemented by strong analytical and problem solving skills and the ability to use evidence to improve team effectiveness

Fluent English at C1 level or above is essential. You will work extensively with international colleagues and stakeholders, including many based in the US, so you will need to communicate confidently and effectively in English. Given the global nature of the team, a willingness to flex your working hours towards the US time zone to create meaningful overlap with US based stakeholders is strongly preferred

A degree or equivalent practical experience in technology, business, delivery or a related discipline is preferred. Scrum certification such as PSM, CSM, CSP or equivalent is desirable but not essential

The anticipated base compensation range for this position is 251,000 PLN to 376,250 PLN annually.

The actual base pay offered to the successful candidate will be based on objective, job-related factors including (but not limited to) relevant skills, qualifications, and experience, scope and responsibilities of the role, geographic location, and internal equity considerations. Compensation decisions are made using consistent and gender-neutral criteria, in line with applicable pay transparency laws. This role has been evaluated within our internal job architecture and mapped to a defined pay band to ensure consistency and fairness.
