Scrum Master - Freelancer (m/f/d)

Description

The company is building a chronic care solution, and this Scrum Master role supports up to two teams within an Agile Release Train (ART).

The company was acquired by the company in 2017, and the Vienna office is one of the company's global sites. The role is based in central Vienna and can involve work on any the company product or solution.

The team works to improve its practices continuously, with the aim of staying focused, high-performing and sustainable.

You will coach teams on delivering value, staying focused, improving flow and collaborating across the ART.

Responsibilities

• Keep teams focused on their Sprint Goals, Team Backlog and ART priorities so they deliver value.
• Lead decision-making, remove blockers, and surface risks and impediments early so teams can resolve them.
• Coordinate across teams and ART-level ceremonies, with particular attention to dependencies.
• Use team metrics to reflect on and improve how teams deliver.
• Evolve roles, ceremonies, processes and tools to improve ways of working, cutting complexity and wasted effort.
• Encourage teams to experiment, learn and adapt.
• Coach teams on Agile, Lean, Scrum, Kanban and SAFe principles and best practices.
• Help teams build trust, autonomy and strong collaboration so they can perform effectively and sustainably.
• Help teams obtain the right capacity and skills to deliver and contribute to overall ART performance.

Requirements

• At least 5 years of hands-on experience as a Scrum Master or Agile Coach.
• At least 7 years working in software product development.
• Solid experience with Scrum, Kanban and SAFe. Experience with XP is a plus.
• SAFe 6.0 certification.
• Strong interpersonal, problem-solving, communication, facilitation and change management skills.
• Comfortable handling conflicts and impediments within teams and across teams.
• Technical background in software development, a technical degree, or both.
