Description

The company sells an AI-driven security operations platform that cuts routine Tier 1 and Tier 2 analyst work, speeds up detection and response, and connects a customer's existing tools without replacing them.

You will be the technical lead alongside the sales team, helping win new customers and grow existing accounts. Findings from customer conversations feed back into the product's direction.

Responsibilities

  • Work alongside account executives from discovery through technical close, mapping each prospect's SOC challenges, tech stack and business goals.
  • Run technical discovery to find gaps in detection coverage, response speed, analyst staffing, SIEM spend, asset visibility and digital risk.
  • Deliver demos and day-in-the-life walkthroughs of the platform's modules: core detection and response, digital risk protection, asset discovery, security data pipelines and AI teammates.
  • Show how AI automation reduces Tier 1 and Tier 2 workload, lowers detection and response times, and lets a SOC scale without matching headcount growth.
  • Build technical business cases that quantify risk reduction, SIEM and tool savings, staff efficiency and operational gains.
  • Answer RFPs, RFIs and security questionnaires accurately and quickly.
  • Support sizing, scoping and pricing with sales and solutions architecture.
  • Run value assessments that measure a customer's people, processes and technology against SOC outcomes.
  • Win competitive deals against MDR, XDR and SOAR vendors by explaining the platform's AI automation, technology-agnostic integration and breadth.
  • Act as a trusted technical advisor to security leaders, from SOC analysts to CISOs, before and after the sale.

Requirements

  • 5+ years in network security, information security or security operations.
  • 2+ years in a customer-facing technical role such as sales engineering, solutions architecture or consulting.
  • Hands-on familiarity with SIEM, EDR/XDR, SOAR, firewalls, IPS, DLP, identity, cloud security and email security.
  • Working knowledge of SOC operations and the detection-to-response lifecycle, including the cost and capacity pressures on security teams.
  • Understanding of regulatory drivers: PCI, GLBA, SOX, HIPAA and GDPR.
  • Current view of the threat landscape, including ransomware, identity-based attacks, supply chain risk and AI-enabled threats.
  • Confident presenting to audiences from SOC analysts to C-level executives.
  • Self-directed, and comfortable in a fast-paced, high-growth environment.
  • Excellent interpersonal, written and verbal communication skills.
  • Willingness to travel 40%+.
  • Uncommon: experience selling or engineering MDR, XDR, SIEM, SOAR or AI-driven security platforms.
  • Uncommon: familiarity with CAASM, digital risk protection or security data pipeline categories.
  • Uncommon: exposure to agentic AI, LLM-driven automation or SOC AI tooling.
  • Uncommon: established relationships with security leaders in your region.
  • Uncommon: CISSP, GIAC, OSCP or comparable certifications.
  • Uncommon: bachelor's degree in a technical field or equivalent practical experience.
