SAC Back-End Developer

The company is a Business and IT consultancy focused on Life Sciences, working with pharma, healthcare and animal health firms. It has over 450 employees and 25 offices worldwide, and its work centres on S/4HANA, data and cloud.

The role is a back-end developer position for SAP Analytics Cloud (SAC) planning. You would build and maintain planning models, calculations, data actions and integrations that support planning, forecasting and reporting, working with functional consultants, business stakeholders and technical teams to keep solutions scalable, reliable and fast.

Responsibilities

• Build and maintain SAC planning models, covering dimensions, measures, hierarchies and data structures.
• Write and tune advanced formulas, calculations, data actions and multi-actions for complex planning processes.
• Set up and extend SAC planning features such as allocations, forecasting, simulations and version management.
• Build and keep up data integrations between SAC and SAP systems, including S/4HANA, SAP BW and SAP BW/4HANA.
• Improve the speed and efficiency of planning models, calculations and data processing.
• Turn business requirements into technical specifications and SAC solutions with functional consultants and stakeholders.
• Diagnose and fix technical faults in planning models, data actions, calculations and integrations.
• Help with system testing, technical documentation, deployments and ongoing enhancements.
• Keep data consistent and accurate, and follow the team's development standards and best practices.

Requirements

• Hands-on experience with SAC, especially SAC Planning and back-end development.
• Proven record designing and building SAC planning models, advanced formulas, calculations and data actions.
• Solid grasp of SAC data modelling, planning logic, allocations and version management.
• Experience connecting SAC to SAP back-end systems such as S/4HANA, SAP BW or SAP BW/4HANA.
• Working knowledge of data connectivity, data preparation and integration within SAP landscapes.
• Experience with performance tuning, troubleshooting and technical problem solving in SAC Planning.
• Understanding of financial planning, budgeting, forecasting or other enterprise planning processes.
• Ability to turn functional requirements into scalable, maintainable technical solutions.
• Strong communication skills and a record of working with business and IT teams together.
