S2P Lead Solution Architect

Description

The role sits in the ERP platform stream and works alongside the Product Owner and business stakeholders from the start of demand management through requirements gathering. The architect guides the stream through every stage of change requests, from design and build to testing and deployment, whether the work is a new solution or a change to an existing one.

The architect also helps the Product Owner align and simplify processes, drawing on SAP best practice and standard SAP solutions.

Responsibilities

• Run design sessions for change requests and resolve technical questions that come up during design.
• Work closely with the Product Owner and business stakeholders, including business unit, function and archetype leads, global business process owners and subject matter experts, on triage, requirements and every phase of demand management.
• Hold the ERP platform's guiding principles to account, especially the fit-to-standard approach.
• Advise the Product Owner and business stakeholders on best practice, standard solutions, design approaches and technical options where a non-standard solution is needed.
• Coach solution architects on business processes, functionality and the technical side of designs and solutions within the stream.
• Coordinate with other streams when a change request touches more than one of them.
• Work with the BST and enterprise architects to make sure solution and architecture standards are applied.
• Build prototypes of new solutions or changes to standard solutions when needed.
• Track new technology and industry practice and bring what is useful into the ERP platform.

Requirements

• A degree in engineering, ideally in computer science (preferred), or a related discipline.
• Certification in S/4HANA, SAP ERP, or both.
• At least 15 years in IT, including 10+ years of hands-on SAP ERP and/or S/4HANA solution architecture and 5+ years of solution architecture on global projects.
• At least 5 years leading teams of onsite and offshore functional and ABAP staff.
• Hands-on experience with integration tools such as MuleSoft.
• Deep SAP functional knowledge, including IMG customizing.
• Technical skill in ABAP, including debugging, user exits, BADIs, ALE-IDoc and APIs.

Conditions

Location: Bratislava, Bratislavsky kraj, Slovakia. This is an on-site role, not remote.

Full-time schedule in the IT, telecom and internet category.

Minimum salary in Slovakia is 57,200 euros gross per year. The final offer depends on location, skills, qualifications, experience and internal pay structures. The role may be open in other locations, and pay there will be discussed later.
