ROC Technical Lead – Wind Remote Operations

Description

The company runs energy assets, and this role sits in its remote operations center in Barcelona, Spain, focused on wind energy.

You would support advanced offshore wind turbines from a distance across both commissioning and service phases, helping them stay reliable over their working life.

You work alongside site teams and engineering specialists to find, examine and fix technical faults, keeping operations stable and improving them over time.

Responsibilities

• Watch turbine performance and act on alarms or abnormal readings
• Run remote diagnostics and troubleshooting during commissioning and service work
• Help field crews fix technical faults and bring performance back
• Pass complex problems up with clear, structured technical detail
• Work with engineering and support colleagues to solve issues
• Study operating data to spot faults, trends and chances to improve
• Help prepare reports and share technical findings
• Contribute to process changes that make operations more efficient
• Support grid outages when needed, with safety and compliance first
• Take part in rotating weekday shifts and occasional on-call duty

Requirements

• A bachelor's or master's degree in engineering, or equivalent experience in wind energy
• Practical work on wind turbines or similar electromechanical equipment in live operation
• Reading electrical schematics and using them to troubleshoot and support field work
• Experience using SCADA systems and other digital monitoring tools
• Sharp analysis and problem solving, clear technical communication, calm structured thinking under pressure, and a team-minded, proactive approach
• Control room or remote operations experience
• Offshore wind or commissioning experience
• Exposure to advanced turbine control systems such as MarkVIe or similar
• Experience in multicultural teams
• Fluent Spanish, spoken and written
• Fluent English, spoken and written
• Willingness to relocate to Barcelona and EU work eligibility

Conditions

Based in Barcelona, Spain

Rotating weekday shifts, Monday to Friday, covering morning and afternoon

On-call rotation for occasional weekend and public holiday support

Travel up to 20% of the time, if required
