This is a Full Stack Software Engineer role on a multi-discipline software development team. You will give expert technical leadership across several projects.

The work centers on designing, building, and improving software that supports advanced analytics, machine learning, and mission-critical decision support.

The role calls for deep technical skill, leadership in software and data architecture, and the ability to work inside classified programs.

As enterprise architect, you will maintain the enterprise architecture and target-state blueprint. You will make sure modernization work follows approved enterprise standards, integration patterns, and strategic roadmaps, and you will prevent fragmented or duplicate solutions.

Responsibilities

• Architect and build software that brings together data ingestion, transformation, and storage across several secure environments.
• Design APIs, microservices, and backend systems.
• Oversee the design of data visualization interfaces that let analysts explore their data, including front end work.
• Design and deploy solutions that include both front end and back end components.
• Oversee data workflows so they perform well, stay reliable, and stay secure under government standards.
• Make sure all development work meets cybersecurity, data governance, and information assurance requirements.
• Collaborate with a multi-disciplinary engineering team to design and ship software.
• Troubleshoot and fix complex software and data integration problems across distributed systems.
• Work with the customer in an Agile process to clarify software and project requirements and build against them.

Requirements

• At least 5 years of experience with modern programming languages such as Python, Kotlin, Java, Go, TypeScript, or JavaScript.
• Experience with relational and/or NoSQL databases such as MySQL, PostgreSQL, or MongoDB.
• Preferred: a bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related technical field.
• Preferred: experience with cloud environments such as AWS or Azure.
• Preferred: experience with UI/UX design principles.
• Preferred: experience with containerization tools such as Docker and Kubernetes.
• Preferred: experience with DevSecOps pipelines and tools such as GitLab, Harbor, Nexus, or Argo CD.

Conditions

An active TS security clearance is required.

Pay is a base range of $81,000 - $154,700 USD for roles in California, Colorado, Connecticut, Hawaii, Illinois, Maine, Maryland, Massachusetts, Minnesota, New Jersey, New York, Ohio, Vermont, Virginia, Washington, and the District of Columbia, as local law requires.

Actual pay depends on factors including office location, role, skill set, and experience level.
