Description

The company in Getafe has an opening for an RMT engineer in its defence and space business, within the MRTT and derivatives programmes.

RMT, short for the reliability-maintainability-testability discipline, is a core part of support engineering and integrated logistic support. It runs alongside design, development and verification.

Your main role is to join development work so that the design is shaped for service support.

The job is a permanent, professional-level position in the customer engineering and technical support family.

Responsibilities

  • Agree RMT requirements with the design office and suppliers, and check that the design delivers them.
  • Run analyses of maintainability, reliability, operational and mission reliability, availability and maintenance economics, and produce design documents such as FMECA, failure catalogue, BIT concept, MTA, QMA and FRACAS.
  • Carry out maintainability demonstrations on the aircraft and on digital mock-ups.
  • Attend design reviews with the design office and customers.
  • Represent RMT in multidisciplinary design teams.
  • Work with design offices running in parallel and with suppliers on RAMT matters such as requirements and deliverables.
  • Support ILS, technical publications and materiel services within customer services.
  • Keep RMT data up to date in logistics databases.
  • Help prepare offers.
  • Investigate in-service problems to find root causes, and recommend cost-effective corrective actions.
  • Write RMT procedures, guidelines and technical reports for customers.
  • Answer customer questions on RMT.

Requirements

  • An aeronautical engineering degree at master's level or an equivalent qualification.
  • Experience with 3D digital mock-ups (DMU).
  • Fluent written and spoken English for daily work.
  • A team-first attitude.
  • Ability to coordinate with colleagues both in person and remotely.
  • Awareness of potential compliance risks, and a commitment to acting with integrity.

Conditions

Permanent contract.

Based in Getafe, with hybrid working where possible.

Collective transport is available, depending on the working calendar and where you live.

We welcome applications from all backgrounds, regardless of age, gender, disability, sexual orientation, religion or social and cultural background.

Benefits

  • Vacation days plus extra days off during the year.
  • Attractive salary.
  • Life insurance, health insurance, employee share options, a pension plan and study grants.
  • On-site canteen, kindergarten and medical office.
  • Opportunities to join social and corporate social responsibility initiatives.
  • Strong upskilling and career development in a multicultural environment.
  • Access to discounts on products and services.
