Risk Analytics Lead (m/f/d)

Description

The company is hiring a Risk Analytics Lead to run a risk analytics team in Amsterdam, with flexible working arrangements available.

The team turns data into insight on customers' solvency and fraud indicators, and supports the steering teams that set and monitor the risk strategy for different markets and ecosystems.

The company operates strongly in DACH, the Netherlands and the Nordics and plans to expand within Europe, for example into France, Italy, Spain and the UK.

The company is a family-owned FinTech business with over 4,000 staff in 11 countries, working from 30 hybrid workspaces and offering flexible payment products.

Responsibilities

• Lead a high-performing team of risk analysts in an international setting.
• Make sure the team uses industry-standard analytics tools and data-driven decisions to solve complex fraud and solvency problems and to support product expansion.
• Continuously improve the underlying data analysis, business processes and monitoring and reporting, and set best practices for ad-hoc and deep-dive analyses.
• Provide risk insights for pricing requests and work effectively with internal stakeholders on analytical needs.
• Play a key part in cross-functional Risk Data Science initiatives and help enable machine learning models and advanced analytics for risk decisions.
• Represent the Risk Analytics team in key projects, taking project ownership for risk steering analytics and their implementation.
• Work closely with Risk Product, Risk Steering, Data Science, Pricing, Financial Controlling, Sales and Operations.
• You report to the Risk Analytics & Steering Lead, who reports to the global Client Underwriting Lead.

Requirements

• Proven track record in data analytics and credit risk management, ideally in a bank, a buy-now-pay-later business or a fast-growing payments company.
• At least 3 years of experience leading cross-border teams in a relevant area such as credit risk analytics, ideally in an international, agile, cross-functional environment.
• Experience enabling machine learning models and advanced analytics for risk assessment and decisions.
• Skilled in SQL and Python for complex analytical work.
• Enthusiastic about new technology and aware of what data and advanced analytics can do.
• A strategic thinker with vision who also executes well and gets things done.
• English is required. German or Dutch is a plus.

Conditions

The role is based in Amsterdam, but the location is flexible. Preferred locations are Luxembourg, Berlin, Verl, Baden-Baden, Amsterdam and Heerenveen.
