The company builds an AI-native platform for government agencies and industrial suppliers that brings development, production, delivery and sustainment into one coordinated execution system.
The company is preparing for an S-1 filing and needs its go-to-market systems to scale with it.
This is a hands-on engineering role that owns the go-to-market operations stack. You will design the architecture and build it yourself, with Salesforce as the system of record and Planhat and sales-intelligence tools connected around it.
You will replace a legacy CRM with an automated, audit-ready platform that supports three go-to-market motions.
You will ask what decision each field or process supports, and automate manual work where you can.
You will turn unclear requests from Sales, the Deal Team, Finance and account leads into clean technical designs, then build them.
The role is full-time in the Arlington, VA office.
Responsibilities
Own the go-to-market stack, including Salesforce, Planhat, Slack and connected sales-intelligence tools such as ZoomInfo, LinkedIn Sales Navigator, GovWin and Leadership Connect. Design each solution, then build custom objects, Flows, validation and enrichment pipelines yourself.
Keep the org secure and healthy by managing the security and sharing model, user access and vendor coordination.
Rebuild and maintain the Salesforce data model, including account hierarchy and higher-order customer structure, territories, profiles and role hierarchy, contacts and leads, activity tracking, and sales stages for each deal type: Standard/Direct, Capture, Partnership, BD and Corp Dev.
Replace manual, error-prone steps with Flows, validation rules and approval routing, and use AI and workflow tools to speed up GTM operations.
Build and maintain integrations with Slack, marketing-influence and lead tracking, and Finance order handoffs, using native connectors, middleware or APIs so deals move without friction.
Lay the technical groundwork for quote-price-configure, booking and order management, and deal governance, so the platform can support a formal Deal Desk as RevOps grows.
Run automated data-hygiene routines and duplicate management. Govern closed-won fields, including contract, type, product class and type, effective date, owner and secondary owner, account, amount, partner and term, so forecasts can rely on the data.
Manage sandboxes, testing and releases through version control and deployment discipline. Keep configuration documented and auditable before S-1 review.
Maintain GTM system documentation and taxonomy in Google Drive or Confluence. Provide tier-2 and tier-3 technical support to the field and train new Sales and Engagement Manager hires on CRM basics and hygiene.
Work with Business Insights & Analytics, Finance, the Deal Team and account leads. Make sure the data model feeds reporting and forecasting that other teams own.
Requirements
U.S. citizenship is required.
A bachelor's degree in Business, Information Systems, Computer Science, Data Science or a related field, or 3-5 years of equivalent hands-on experience.
3-5 years building on and administering Salesforce in a fast-paced B2B SaaS or technology company, including hands-on configuration and integration work and ownership of a live production org.
Deep declarative skills in Flows, validation rules, the security and sharing model, page layouts and approval processes, plus data-model design with objects, relationships, record types and hierarchies.
Proven experience integrating Salesforce with other platforms through native connectors, iPaaS middleware, or REST or SOAP APIs, and automating manual processes.
Ability to read, debug and write light Apex, SOQL and Lightning Web Components when declarative tools fall short.
Meticulous attention to detail and a record of turning messy CRM data into a clean, governed system of record.
Strong written and verbal communication. You can turn business requirements into technical designs and explain trade-offs to non-technical stakeholders.
Desired: Salesforce Certified Administrator. Advanced Administrator or Platform App Builder is a plus.
Desired: Familiarity with CPQ, Revenue Lifecycle Management (RLM), quote-price-configure, or booking and order management.
Desired: Deeper programmatic experience with complex Apex, LWC or custom API services.
Desired: Experience with Salesforce, Planhat or another CSP, iPaaS or middleware, deployment tooling, and Slack.
Desired: Hands-on use of AI tools to automate workflows, and experience with Confluence or Google Drive.
Desired: Interest in Revenue Operations, business-process optimization, and national security or defense acquisition.
Desired: An active U.S. security clearance, or the ability to obtain one with company sponsorship.
