Description

The company is a global technology firm with more than 83,000 staff across five continents, including over 7,500 in the UK. It works in defence, space, aerospace and digital security.

This is a senior individual contributor role covering South Europe. You will be the marketing lead and business partner for the region, working alongside regional sales leaders and the global marketing team.

You will set and drive the regional go-to-market plan, aiming to meet and beat targets while staying in line with global priorities and company direction.

You will turn a close reading of regional markets, customers, competitors and growth areas into concrete marketing plans with measurable commercial results, and you will coordinate cross-functional teams to grow pipeline, revenue and market reach.

Responsibilities

  • Agree marketing priorities with regional sales and global marketing leaders, tied to regional targets.
  • Write and own the marketing strategy for the whole region.
  • Study regional market trends, customer pain points, competitors and buying habits to spot openings and risks.
  • Adapt global strategy, messages and programmes to regional realities while staying aligned with global priorities.
  • Plan and run regional go-to-market programmes for key initiatives, solutions and target markets.
  • Work as a strategic marketing partner to regional sales leaders and country teams, joining business planning and account prioritization.
  • Match marketing spend and activity to sales priorities and growth opportunities, and support account expansion.
  • Design integrated plans across the full customer journey, from awareness to pipeline acceleration and expansion.
  • Choose the mix of events, executive engagement, ABM, digital campaigns and customer advocacy that best fits regional goals.
  • Own events across South Europe, including customer events, executive events, conferences and exhibitions: planning, delivery, vendors and sales coordination, with regular regional travel.
  • Lead localization of content, messaging, campaigns and customer engagement.
  • Coordinate Demand Generation, Product Marketing, Digital Marketing, Marketing Operations and Communications.
  • Align global initiatives with regional delivery and share regional insight to shape global strategy and messaging.
  • Own marketing's contribution to regional pipeline creation, acceleration and conversion.
  • Measure programme results, ROI and business impact, and recommend changes to improve spend and outcomes.
  • Use data and market intelligence to keep refining strategy and execution.
  • Own the regional marketing budget and how it is allocated.
  • Run the annual regional marketing calendar and priorities.
  • Find, manage and work with external agencies, vendors and partners where needed.
  • Serve as the main contact for all marketing activity in the region.

Requirements

  • 7+ years of B2B marketing experience in enterprise software, SaaS or cybersecurity.
  • Proven record of building and running regional go-to-market strategies in Europe.
  • Track record of delivering measurable pipeline and business impact.
  • Experience working closely with sales leaders and account teams.
  • Solid grasp of European market conditions and how they differ between countries and regions.
  • Ability to balance strategic planning with hands-on delivery.
  • Strong analytical skills, with a habit of using data to guide decisions and set investment priorities.
  • Experience running integrated programmes spanning digital, events, ABM and partner marketing.
  • Desirable: familiarity with Salesforce, Marketo, 6Sense, Power BI and ZoomInfo.
  • Fluent English is required.
  • German is a strong plus. French is appreciated.
  • You must travel regularly across Europe.
  • Take ownership and think commercially, focusing on business outcomes rather than activity counts.
  • Turn market insight into practical regional strategy.
  • Challenge assumptions and influence senior stakeholders.
  • Collaborate well across functions, regions and cultures.
  • Be pragmatic, hands-on and focused on execution.
  • Work comfortably in a fast-moving international setting with remote teams.
  • Be self-directed, proactive and well organized.
