Description

The company is a pharmaceutical business and this field-based role supports its Immunology brand team in the West, working across national and regional marketing initiatives that align with the Annual Strategic Brand Plans.

You will be the main marketing contact for External Experts in your assigned geography, building and running those relationships to gather insight, and you will work within a team to improve brand performance.

Pay will be set according to experience.

The role is best suited to someone based in the West, covering areas including California, Arizona, Nevada and Washington, though the territory is not limited to these.

Responsibilities

  • Lead projects through the promotional review process so they are high quality and delivered on time, making sure regulatory rules and company processes are followed.
  • Plan, run and budget national and regional conventions, External Expert consulting, advisory boards and commercial peer-to-peer education.
  • Track how key marketing tactics perform, and recommend changes to leadership to improve the brand.
  • Analyse the brand's key business questions and give input on marketing strategy, resource use and tactic design that will lift brand results.
  • Work with field leaders in your geography to strengthen how marketing strategies reach customers.
  • Understand the market drivers, competitors, provider dynamics and competitive intelligence for your area.
  • Direct the work and deliverables of several external vendors and internal departments, including agency partners, marketing, market research, legal, regulatory, medical affairs, ethics and compliance, and IT.
  • Find, build and strengthen commercial relationships with External Experts, emerging leaders, and relevant patient and professional associations in your area.
  • Create regional engagement plans for External Experts and carry them out consistently through the year.
  • Understand the internal and external drivers across several stakeholder groups, and connect the Integrated Brand Teams with collaboration opportunities that fit shared goals, in line with industry standards.

Requirements

  • Strong verbal and non-verbal communication and presentation skills, in person and virtual, to engage internal leaders and external stakeholders.
  • Experience working with integrated cross-functional teams, understanding their priorities and roles and influencing outcomes without direct authority.
  • Ability to work across a field and headquarters matrix organisation and drive decisions across functions.
  • Ability to work in a fast-moving environment.
  • Knowledge of the regulations and standards that apply to pharmaceutical products.
  • The role involves sitting for long periods, more than 2 hours at a time.
  • Bachelor's degree.
  • Experience in sales, sales management or marketing, with at least 2 years in Immunology preferred.
  • Gastroenterology experience is highly preferred.
  • Travel up to 75% of the time, including evenings and weekends.
  • Valid driver's licence, and you must pass a pre-employment drug screen and meet safe driving requirements.

Conditions

Base pay range: the company expects in good faith to pay within the posted range for this grade, with the final figure depending on factors including location, and the range may change.

Eligible for the company's long-term incentive programmes.

Bonus, commission, incentive and other compensation are at the company's sole discretion until paid, and may change in line with the law.

The company is an equal opportunity employer. US and Puerto Rico applicants only; more details are available on the company's careers site.

Benefits

  • Paid time off covering vacation, holidays and sick leave.
  • Medical, dental and vision insurance, and a 401(k), for eligible employees.
