Description

Mirage is an AI video company focused on making creation dramatically easier. Our team tackles some of the hardest creative and technical challenges in generative media.

We get to rethink how people collaborate with AI that can actually do creative work with them—defining entirely new interaction paradigms for AI-native video tools. We make that possible by building multimodal agents that turn creative direction into edits, rendering engines that composite multiple layers of video and graphics, and generative video models trained from the ground up that create new media when needed.

All of this comes together in Captions, our creative workspace for generating, editing, and designing video. The technology behind Captions is now available more broadly: Tesseract gives any AI agent native video-editing capabilities, while developers can integrate our models into their own products through APIs.

About the role

We’re looking for a Business Recruiter to support hiring across our Marketing, Product, Design, and Operations teams. You’ll partner with hiring managers and our recruiting team to understand hiring needs, build candidate pipelines, and help bring exceptional talent to Mirage.

This role is for someone with a strong foundation in recruiting who’s ready to deepen their full-cycle experience and sharpen their craft. You’ll independently own a handful of searches from kickoff through close, while partnering with our Head of Talent and Recruiting Lead to sharpen your sourcing, candidate assessment, and closing skills. We’re looking for someone who learns quickly, takes initiative, and applies feedback to continually improve their craft.

Responsibilities

  • Manage a handful of assigned searches from kickoff through offer acceptance, keeping each search organized and moving forward.
  • Partner with hiring managers to clarify hiring needs, align on candidate profiles and evaluation criteria, and establish effective interview plans.
  • Build strong candidate pipelines through personalized outreach, referrals, networking, and inbound applications, adjusting your approach based on results.
  • Conduct recruiter screens to assess relevant experience and motivations, and keep candidates informed, prepared, and engaged throughout the process.
  • Gather timely interview feedback, facilitate thoughtful debriefs, and manage offer conversations, partnering with senior teammates on complex assessments or negotiations.
  • Maintain accurate ATS records, use pipeline data and feedback to improve search execution, and flag challenges early with recommended next steps.
  • Help the recruiting team build and refine AI agent workflows that automate repetitive tasks, streamline recruiting operations, and make processes more consistent and efficient.
  • What makes you a great fit
  • 3+ years of experience in recruiting or sourcing, with hands-on experience sourcing candidates, managing offers, or closing hires.
  • Ability to build strong relationships with candidates, hiring managers, and teammates.
  • Strong communication, organization, and follow-through, with a proactive approach to learning and incorporating feedback.
  • Humility and self-awareness, with openness to feedback, a willingness to ask questions, and a commitment to learning from others.
  • Startup experience is a strong plus!
