R2613426 Senior Technical Marketing Manager – Advanced Packaging

The company is a global leader in materials science and engineering. Its equipment and services go into nearly every new semiconductor chip and advanced display, and support the commercialization of next-generation chips used for AI.

The team is looking for a seasoned technical marketing manager who is a recognized subject-matter expert in advanced packaging. The role defines product value propositions, builds competitive positioning, drives customer adoption, and equips sales teams for advanced semiconductor packaging solutions.

Responsibilities

• Write clear value propositions for the advanced packaging process control solution.
• Turn complex engineering ideas into messages that work for different audiences.
• Create technical marketing material, including product briefs, solution whitepapers, competitive analyses, benchmark data summaries, presentations, and webinars.
• Size and segment the advanced packaging market, and analyse its trends.
• Track competitors and emerging technologies, and brief executives and product teams on what you find.
• Build application use cases that inform roadmap decisions and priorities.
• Lead head-to-head competitor comparisons, and drive the evaluation and adoption of new products.
• Work with product marketing and engineering to shape product strategy using competitive and customer insight.
• Work with corporate marketing on campaigns, messaging, and product launches.
• Coordinate with operations and manufacturing so products are ready and aligned with customers.

Requirements

• A master's or PhD in engineering, physics, materials science, or a related discipline.
• 10+ years in semiconductor manufacturing or packaging, with direct exposure to BEOL and FEOL processes.
• Proven expertise in advanced packaging ecosystems and customer workflows.
• Strong analytical and communication skills, with the ability to tell executive-level stories and make data-driven decisions.
• Experience leading cross-functional projects to milestones in a matrix organisation.
• Preferred: hands-on background in inspection or metrology.
• Preferred: experience with pricing strategy, product launches, and field enablement.
• Preferred: familiarity with reliability, yield, and metrology or inspection data as it relates to packaging performance.
• A strategic, enterprise-level thinker who starts from solutions.
• A customer-focused communicator who can persuade and make complex technology simple.
• Able to work independently and influence people without formal authority.
• Comfortable in fast-paced, highly ambiguous environments.

Conditions

Full-time regular position based in Santa Clara, CA.

Travel of about 25% of the time.

Relocation assistance is available.

Salary range: $174,000.00 - $239,500.00. Final pay depends on location, hire grade, job-related knowledge, skills, experience, and internal equity.

For sales roles, the posted range is the Target Total Cash range, meaning base salary plus target bonus at 100% goal achievement.
