Description

The company makes materials science and engineering equipment used in nearly every new chip and advanced display made worldwide.

Its equipment helps advance AI and brings next-generation semiconductor chips to market.

Responsibilities

  • You set the goals for projects and programs in your area, then complete the groundwork such as outcomes, milestones, feasibility checks and resource plans so later stages stay focused.
  • You make sure every assigned project and program meets its set requirements, with close attention to product and process specifications, costs, resource use and deadlines.
  • You assign work to your staff, support their growth and keep the group productive. You oversee a large complex project, or several medium ones, through team leads, covering development, support, maintenance and rollout, and you manage the team's people end to end.
  • You make sure each development phase is documented and that results reach other functions as needed. You enforce company rules on engineering and lab notebooks, patents, confidentiality, ISO (International Standards Org.), safety and other requirements.
  • You use material and financial resources effectively.
  • You lead research into new technologies and make sure new processes, designs or methods reach company products and services or other teams where needed.
  • You use computing resources to speed up design work and shorten timelines.
  • You apply principles, theories and concepts to choose the best course of action and solve complex problems across the department.

Requirements

  • Functional knowledge: a deep understanding of the concepts and principles in your own job family, and basic knowledge of related job families.
  • Business expertise: an understanding of the industry and how your area contributes to goals.
  • Leadership: you manage a mostly uniform team and adjust plans and priorities when service or operational challenges arise.
  • Problem solving: you identify and resolve technical, operational and organizational problems.
  • Impact: you affect service levels and your team's ability to meet quality, volume and timeliness targets, guided by business unit, department or sub-function policies and resource limits.
  • Interpersonal skills: you guide, influence and persuade people inside and outside the company.
  • You follow the company's global Standards of Business Conduct at all times and show the highest level of ethical conduct in line with its core values.
