Description

The company develops technologies for industries including energy, food, water and shipping.

The role is a Quality Engineer position in the Quality Assurance team, which sits within a QHSE department made up of HSE, QA and QC pillars.

The job links Quality Assurance and Quality Control, so you coordinate daily between the two teams.

In your first months you will spend much of your time hands-on on the shop floor to learn the products, processes and people.

Responsibilities

  • Serve as the main point of contact between Quality Management and Quality Control, keeping both sides aligned.
  • Work on the shop floor every day alongside production teams.
  • Back up the handling of non-conformities and corrective actions, and take part in root cause analysis and continuous improvement work.
  • Help develop how customer claims are handled.
  • Build good working relationships with suppliers and resolve quality problems in a practical way.
  • Carry out internal and external audits.
  • Prepare and maintain quality documents, including Quality Data Books (MDB), Inspection Test Plans (ITPs) and certificates.
  • Take part in quality inspections led by Notified Bodies and support quality throughout project delivery.
  • Help create and standardise quality tools and processes.
  • Improve Quality Control processes, practices and methods.
  • Oversee the site's metrology programme, covering calibration, inspection and measuring equipment sent to the laboratory.
  • Join final inspections and support QC activities when needed.

Requirements

  • You solve problems pragmatically and can balance hands-on work with quality oversight.
  • You are comfortable moving between the shop floor, customer conversations and process improvement.
  • An engineering degree or an equivalent technical background.
  • At least 5 years in a quality role in an industrial setting.
  • Experience handling customer claims, non-conformities and quality issues that customers see.
  • Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to work with many different stakeholders.
  • A hands-on approach and readiness to stay close to operations and production.
  • A proactive, adaptable and solution-focused attitude.
  • Strong organisational skills and attention to detail.
  • Fluent English is mandatory.
  • Good French.
  • German is a significant advantage.
  • Knowledge of ATEX and PED regulations is a plus.
  • Experience with rotating equipment is a plus but not required.
  • Familiarity with ISO 9001 principles and quality management systems is desirable. Certification expertise is not essential, but a quality mindset and a continuous improvement approach matter.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office tools.

Conditions

Equal opportunity applies to this role, regardless of gender.

Benefits

  • The work suits someone who likes variety, independence and a challenge, in a team where no two days are alike.
  • Your work directly affects product quality, customer satisfaction and operational excellence.
  • Bring curiosity, adaptability and a can-do attitude to help build the company's future solutions.
