Description

The company is hiring a project manager in its Carolinas B+P footprint to run complex manufacturing programs for its Advanced Manufacturing practice.

The role turns a client's production goals into a workable plant layout, material flow plan and capital project, then hands delivery to the company's design and design-build teams.

Sectors served include semiconductor, defense, aerospace, energy and nuclear fuel, battery, robotics and microprocessors.

The company is a global infrastructure consultancy working in water, environment, energy, transportation and buildings. It is a Fortune 500 firm with revenue of $16.1 billion in fiscal year 2025 and a team of over 50,000 planners, engineers, scientists, digital innovators and construction managers.

  • Run project finances, including NSR, margin, forecasting, invoicing and change orders.
  • Bring process and equipment needs together with architecture, MEP, process utilities and civil work.
  • Direct industrial engineering scope covering layout, material flow, throughput and automation. Lean and Six Sigma skills are highly desirable.
  • Lead and mentor project teams, coordinate architectural and engineering disciplines, and share work with the company's design centers.
  • Lead commissioning, start-up and turnover, including tool installation and production ramp-up.
  • Promote safety by building EHS and constructability into designs and enforcing Safety for Life standards on site.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in engineering, project management or a related field, plus 10 years of relevant experience, including 2 years managing design or design-build projects for plants. Equivalent experience and/or education is accepted.
  • Proven leadership on manufacturing or industrial projects of $100 million or more.
  • Proven experience delivering architecture/engineering (A/E) work.
  • Must be a United States citizen, due to the nature of the job.
  • Preferred: PMP and Lean Six Sigma Black Belt.
  • Preferred: Master's degree or MBA.

  • Preferred: Active A/E license (PE or RA), or the ability to obtain North Carolina and/or South Carolina registration.
  • Preferred: Experience in regulated sectors (DoD, DOE, NRC, FAA, ITAR) and federal design-build delivery.
