Description

You will coordinate all engineering work on an assigned project so that it is delivered cost-effectively, to contract specifications, to quality standards, and with safety and integrity intact.

The role covers every engineering discipline: design planning, budgets, schedules, risk assessments, and allocating people and equipment to complete the full engineering scope.

You report to a Project Director and sit in a department with other Project Engineering Managers and Project Interface Managers.

The project is an EPC (engineering, procurement, construction) project on a complex scope.

The company values safety and integrity, which means owning your actions while looking out for colleagues and the business. It also values transparency and autonomy paired with personal accountability.

Responsibilities

  • You initiate, plan, manage and control the engineering scope of a complex project.
  • You coordinate tasks, resources, stakeholders and other engineering elements, and you resolve conflicts between them.
  • You make trade-offs, evaluate resources, and set priorities that drive the most progress.
  • You keep a clear, up-to-date view of project status for everyone involved.
  • You anticipate changes and influence time, cost and scope to meet the agreed deliveries.
  • You are accountable for the engineering side of the EPC project and report to the Project Director.

Requirements

  • You hold a university degree and have prior experience in people management, project management or a similar field.
  • You have worked on large, complex projects, preferably civil engineering projects.
  • You take an innovative, problem-solving approach to challenges.
  • You are confident in a leadership role and can inspire and motivate your project team.
  • You bring positive energy, creative thinking and real commitment.
  • You are curious about technology.
  • You speak fluent English.

Conditions

The role is full time, based in Ludvika, Dalarna County, Sweden, and is not remote.

Applications are reviewed on an ongoing basis.

The company runs pre-employment background checks in line with applicable law. For some roles, more extensive screening may be required, and candidates are notified and asked for consent before any such check starts.

Benefits

  • The role is covered by a collective agreement.
  • Working time is flexible.
  • You get a health care and wellness allowance.
  • You get a mentor to support you through onboarding.
  • You have access to training and education for your development.
  • There are good career opportunities within the company in Sweden and abroad.
  • The company employs people of over 70 nationalities in Sweden.
  • Supplementary pay is provided during parental leave.
  • You can use an employee benefit portal with thousands of discounts and perks.

  • Experience with HVDC or PMI/PMP certification is an advantage.
  • Knowledge of other languages spoken within the group is meritorious.
