Project Engineer

The role is based in the Utrecht office. You will be the technical lead for projects from design and engineering through integration, testing, commissioning and final customer acceptance, working with the Global Operations team to deliver outcomes that improve customer satisfaction and support revenue growth.

Responsibilities

• Analyze customer requirements and project specifications.
• Help design systems covering hardware, software, communications and interfaces.
• Write and keep up project technical documentation.
• Help define and check the Bill of Materials.
• Plan and carry out tests.
• Support factory integration, commissioning and technical troubleshooting.
• Track and follow up on technical deviations found during testing.
• Train customers on the technical side and on using the system.
• Serve as the technical contact for customers and internal teams.
• Help improve processes and capture lessons learned.

Requirements

• Degree in telecommunications, computer science, electronics, industrial engineering or a related field.
• Understanding of engineering project lifecycles.
• Fluent English. Spanish is a plus.
• Strong technical communication and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to write clear technical documentation.
• Willingness to travel internationally.
• Nice to have: experience with IP networking and basic network troubleshooting.
• Nice to have: Windows Server and/or Linux administration.
• Nice to have: system integration and communication protocols.
• Nice to have: electrical power distribution and cabinet or rack integration.
• Nice to have: virtualization technologies.
• Nice to have: basic cybersecurity concepts.

Conditions

The targeted base pay range is €35,000 to €46,000 per year. Pay is linked to performance, so compensation can grow over time. The final offer depends on factors such as prior experience, education, transferable skills, business needs, internal equity and applicable law. The range may change, and the role may also be eligible for market-competitive variable pay and benefits.
