Product Quality Engineer

Description

The SSD Qualification team checks that new solid-state drive products are dependable and perform well before release. The team works with engineering groups around the world to keep product quality and compliance at a high level.

The company makes memory and storage products. This role directs validation and certification of SSD or next-generation system products through detailed testing and analysis.

You will write qualification plans, resolve failures, and drive process improvements. You will work with engineering teams and AI-assisted tools across the organization.

Responsibilities

• Work with cross-functional teams in several countries to define and refine product requirements.
• Assist senior engineers with technical debugging and data analysis.
• Run qualification tests and check the results against specifications.
• Build and improve test and debug tools that make qualification faster and more thorough.
• Debug at system and drive level using software tools, oscilloscopes, and bus analyzers.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in electrical, electronics, or computer engineering.
• Experience with embedded systems from coursework or work.
• Skill in Python, C, or a similar language for test automation and debugging.
• Hands-on use of oscilloscopes and protocol analyzers for electrical debugging.
• Working knowledge of Windows and Linux.
• Ability to build or use agentic solutions well in daily work.
• Preferred: solid understanding of computer architecture, NAND, or SSD storage technology.
• Preferred: experience writing and running qualification plans for high-performance hardware.
• Preferred: knowledge of ISO regulations and GMP compliance.
• Preferred: background in system-level validation, test automation, and statistical data analysis.
• Preferred: track record of improving process efficiency in manufacturing or QA.

Conditions

The US base salary range is $125,000.00 - $213,000.00 a year.

Pay within the range depends on work location, knowledge, skills, experience, tenure, and relevant education or training.

The range shown reflects target base pay for new hires across all US locations and may change with business needs.

The listed figure is base salary only and excludes bonus, equity, and benefits, which may be offered as additional compensation.
