Description

The product quality and reliability group works across two sites, in Brno and Eindhoven, and makes sure complex technical systems and modules meet their quality and reliability goals.

The focus is on transmission electron microscopy products, including mid-range systems and camera integration, built in small volumes with high engineering complexity.

You will join multidisciplinary engineering teams and keep quality in view from early design through to release.

Responsibilities

  • Run quality work across system integration and module development projects.
  • Lead Failure Mode and Effects Analysis (FMEA) and Safety Risk Assessments (SRA) for modules and full systems.
  • Help write requirements that can be verified, and link each requirement to its risks and tests.
  • Build test strategies, procedures, coverage plans and acceptance criteria.
  • Contribute to Design for Reliability, reliability analysis and reliability growth modelling.
  • Set up reliability tests, both test-to-fail and test-to-pass.
  • Study quality and reliability data to spot risks and suggest improvements.
  • Work with engineers on root-cause analysis and corrective actions.
  • Report quality risks, project readiness and progress to key stakeholders.

Requirements

  • A Master's degree with 3+ years of experience, or a Bachelor's degree with 5+ years, in quality engineering, reliability engineering or complex technical system development.
  • A background in mechanical engineering, electrical engineering, physics, systems engineering or a related field.
  • Experience with low-volume, high-complexity products in an engineering or industrial setting.
  • Solid working knowledge of FMEA, risk management, requirements-based testing and reliability engineering.
  • Familiarity with statistical methods, Design of Experiments (DOE) and structured problem-solving.
  • Ability to manage quality work on your own and collaborate across disciplines.
  • Strong analytical, communication and documentation skills.
  • Proficient English and willingness to travel up to 10-20%.
  • Design for Six Sigma (DFSS) or Six Sigma training.
  • Experience with Weibull analysis, ReliaSoft or MATLAB.
  • Background in semiconductor equipment, scientific instrumentation or similar high-tech industries.
  • Electron microscopy or TEM knowledge is an advantage, but not a requirement.

Conditions

Standard office hours of 40 per week.

Based in the office.

Work with a cross-site team split between Brno and Eindhoven.

Travel of up to 10-20% may be part of the role.

Benefits

  • An annual bonus, pension contribution, and life and health insurance at preferential rates.
  • Discounted mobile plans for you and your family.
  • A free MultiSport card.
  • A meal allowance and a company canteen serving free fruit or vegetables every day.
  • A modern office with relaxation zones, an on-site gym, an outdoor sports area and in-building massages.
  • A friendly culture with a company rock band, sports teams and other activities.
  • A hackerspace with a VR headset, a video and audio recording studio, LEGO Mindstorms, a 3D printer, Arduino and more.
