Windchill Quality Assurance Engineer

The company is rolling out Windchill as its new corporate PLM platform, so this is a newly formed, growing team.

You will join the global IT Product Lifecycle Management team and help keep the global PLM system high quality and reliable.

You will report to a Manager based in Poland.

Responsibilities

• Take ownership of the full Windchill testing cycle: planning, running tests, managing defects and reporting results.
• Build and maintain scalable automation frameworks for regression and validation testing across environments.
• Write and upkeep automated test scripts with Tosca or a comparable enterprise tool.
• Check functional and technical requirements for Windchill enhancements, integrations and configuration changes.
• Run risk-based regression tests that fit the release schedule and CPS governance rules.
• Lead User Acceptance Testing cycles, confirming business sign-off and traceability to requirements.
• Work with Windchill developers, architects and functional analysts to achieve full test coverage.
• Add testing steps to CI/CD and DevOps pipelines.
• Record test results, defects and quality metrics in tools such as qTest.
• Join SAFe Agile ceremonies, including sprint planning, backlog grooming and retrospectives, and help refine the backlog.
• Improve QA processes, automation coverage and testing efficiency across the platform.
• Make sure testing meets IT governance, auditability and compliance requirements, particularly in regulated change processes.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering or a related field.
• 8+ years in QA, testing or validation, including hands-on test automation.
• Experience testing Windchill PLM across Part and BOM Management, Document and CAD Management, and Change and Workflow Management.
• Working knowledge of Windchill configuration elements such as ACLs, lifecycles, workflows, OIRs, types and attributes.
• Hands-on use of test automation tools such as Tosca, Selenium or an equivalent enterprise tool.
• Experience with qTest or a similar ALM or test management platform.
• Familiarity with Agile, SAFe and DevOps practices.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving and defect triage skills.
• Fluent English (C1).
• Preferred: experience defining or implementing test automation strategy at scale.
• Preferred: exposure to CI/CD pipelines and automated testing integration.
• Preferred: experience with PLM integrations involving ERP, CAD or other enterprise systems.
• Preferred: experience working in a global, distributed team.
• Preferred: experience with ServiceNow or other ITSM tools for defect or change tracking.

Conditions

Hybrid working: you are expected to work at a company location on Mondays, Tuesdays and Thursdays, unless a business obligation takes you elsewhere.
